Why even call it a cult?
It automatically has negative connotations right out the gate.
Not trying to discourage you..I just find the assignment bizarre after already dismissing cult vibes.

Ever have one of the moments where you pass up a moment to help someone randomly, and then are haunted by it later?

Sometime what seems like a case where one needs saving, is really only one's ego attempting to relieve their own discomfort watching someone suffer. For an example..parents whose children end up getting cancer and have to watch them suffer for months, some time years. Sometimes they still die. Point is, I think most would tear their heart from their chest and give it willingly in the place of watching their child suffer like that..but there is nothing you can do. You just have to keep hoping and praying. Of course I have faith in you.  Ah, yes. I see what you mean. We were just talking about that very thing in family therapy yesterday. How parents in addict families are desperate to save their children and in that desperation tend to enable them. That is a thing that must be considered. My question was more of a hypothetical, though. I mean, if you were literally the only one who could help. In a case where a person inostensibly did need saving. One the greatest quotes I ever read about parenthood mentioned how 'having a child, is like having your heart walking around outside your body..'I thought that very keen.
