I am writing this to report a potential issue with one of your residents there.
She has been a friend of mine for several years now, and feel like this might be my last chance at getting her to realize the gravity of her situation. Since October 2016, she has been continually starving herself nearly to the point of death and recently attempted suicide this last August. Since 2016 I have been attempting to support her through different facilities and rehab and everything which has occurred since.
She got back in contact with me, being we are online friends, in early October 2019 after her phone was returned to her there.
About 2-3 weeks ago her attitude shifted and when I talked to her most recently, she mentioned not having eaten anything other than some fruits and veggies in over a week plus.
This is how she starts when she repeats her anorexic behaviors. She also mentioned that she is feeling very anxious as soon as she wakes in the morning. The anxiety leads to her finding control through starving herself. I'm sure it has also something to do with her lack of fat and protein and realizing she is repeating old behaviors, while feeling helpless in that regard. A vicious cycle.
I gave her 24 hours yesterday to convince me that she had eaten some fat and protein and has ignored all my messages. I said I would send this at noon today. So here it is. I am a person of my word and will not enable her anorexia. I have also considered she dropped the information for the specific reason of being unable to ask for help herself, knowing how I would respond.
Her anxiety needs attention and I think her meal times need to be more closely monitored if possible. She will also purge, so that will also need to be watched.
