Hogan's heroes was what the American POW's were treated like, they often escaped because they were very lenient. the treachery and repayment of mercy with extermination one of sickest most depraved episodes. Germany's crime was liberating eastern block countries from communist psychopaths already entrenched there. They were welcomed as heroes, this film doesn't explain this. but probably would have been better not to go to war, that was horrible. Germany would have conquered the world economically, I suppose the powers that be already knew that. Is the madness of crowds. I think this video is best explanation for world history. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69234461 That may be the single stupidest thing ever said here, and this is GLP where stupid things are said every day! Hogan's Heroes was a light Hollywood sitcom. Try Stalag 17 (1953) for a more realistic view. Hart's War isn't bad either. Germany's crime was liberating eastern block countries from communist psychopaths already entrenched there. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69234461 Nazi Fascism was never about liberating anyone and they were only welcomed as heroes by a few small areas that were predominantly German. The Nazi's left fear, death and destruction everywhere they went. They looted, robbed and raped in the lands they conquered. but probably would have been better not to go to war, that was horrible. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69234461 Yes and when the Nazis took power in 1933 they immediately started building their war machine. In fact the main weakness in their economy in the 1930s was the massive cost of rearmament. Deficit spending to build their military machine meant they had to go to war. But that was the plan all along. Germany would have conquered the world economically, I suppose the powers that be already knew that. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69234461 Without the Nazis they might have. Germany has certainly proven it is a world power now. Hitler and the Nazis with their fascist policies and anti-semitic behavior were the doom of Germany. They were destined to fail. |
