That is horrible! I have to admit....It's always been sort of a running joke whenever we have gone to a Chinese restaurant that it was cat. I have no idea where or when I heard it years ago, but I didn't realize it was more than just a rumor. Eww. Poor animals :(

This is really fucked up, sad and I just don't understand it.

Cognitive dissonance is one thing, but the complete loss of morality is something else entirely.

Both of which I hardly suffer from anymore, but it hurts more so now from seeing just how primitive humanity still is.

First of all this made me noticeably dizzy. Holy shit. I feel weak like I'm going to pass out.

They are cats and dogs which in and of itself is foul, disgusting and heartless. But lets go beyond the animals. Look at the cages, the tools, the ground. Look at the filth. I wouldn't buy beef, chicken or even veggies from any of these places let alone a household pet who's been butchered.

I feel sorry for all those who have had pets go missing. They will have no idea whether they are dead or alive.

As recently as 30-40 years ago, regions of China had mass starvations. Starvation has always been a problem there, so the culture is to eat ANYTHING, and everything.

don get me wrong i consider dogs/cats as pets but in india cows are sacred so guess it jus their culture.

They eat dogs and cats, it's a different culture. In SA they eat guinea pigs. They don't eat cows in India. Obama ate a tiger once. Japanese people eat whales and raw fish. I would never eat my dog, just saying different cultures...

True. I read that during one famine in China back in the 1800s parents had to keep their kids indoors at all times, or else they would end up being kidnapped so that they could be eaten.

You mean the same way that people who eat cows,pigs,chickens and fish and dairy and eggs get sick?

The Chinese are really missing out on loving animals that bring joy. My dog is the first to greet me at the door when I get home and the last to say goodbye when I leave. I'm not a vegetarian, I know we need meat to survive, but dogs and cats bring more happiness alive then on a dinner table.
