Could wanting to remain indoors be a un-conscious reaction to UV Rays ?
People keep harping on kids to get outdoors, that they remain inside TOO much...My professions require me to be outdoors alot and find myself trying to remain indoors during the day as much as possiable

could we as humans have a built in reflex to intensifying sunlight ?

More to the point:

Could it be a subconscious reaction to (belief in) the propaganda regarding UV rays?

Doubtful that that is the problem.

How hot is it where you are? If you spend all day outdoors working in the heat, of course you ain't going to want to be 'out there' when you are off work.

I had that exact problem when I worked construction - I virtually spent every off hour in near total darkness in the years I lived in Las Vegas and worked as a tar roofer - 120+F temperatures, blazing hot sun and pushing around boiling hot tar.

The sun's light is NOT intensifying. Sorry. The sun was never actually yellow either - sorry.

The atmospheric particles determine sun and light intensity and coloration. There is a period in historic artwork which is well known for its brilliant yellow colors in the light - these paintings were all painted after a remarkable eruption of a volcano that spew hella gasses into the atmosphere which literally changed the light hue to a yellowish tint for years after.

all of these older people who remember 'yellow' sun in their childhood tend to forget that in those days there was hella lot more air pollution as well. Today with air pollution dropping and particle emissions so regulated in most of the world, the atmosphere is clearer allowing the true white light from the sun to shine through.

And we are coming out of a period known as Global Dimming - again a side effect of particulate pollution. The world is shifting from coal and other forms of burning materials and allowing free smoke to billow out, to cleaner, smokeless alternatives. This means cleaner air - which means more sunlight coming through.

To check UV index by zip code. My area showing 9

UV Index

VERY HIGH 8-10 Protection against sun damage is needed. If you need to be outside during midday hours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., take steps to reduce sun exposure. A shirt, hat and sunscreen are a must, and be sure you seek shade.
Beachgoers should know that white sand and other bright surfaces reflect UV and can double UV exposure.

It was so hot today my mini blinds bent from melting and fell off the wall. I hung up some makeshift curtains to cover the window after that. I never seen it like this before.
