Brothers Mow Lawn To Keep Woman From Going To Jail


RIESEL An arrest warrant for a Central Texas woman ends with an act of kindness from four brothers.

"It's a summer day, we don't have season passes yet to Hawaiian Falls. What else could we do but go out and help some people," said Blaine Reynolds, one of the boys who helped out.

On Tuesday, the Reynolds boys saw News 10's report about Gerry Suttle, the 75-year-old Riesel woman who has a warrant out for her arrest because her grass was too high.

Even though they didn't know Suttle, they decided to load up their mowers and come mow her lot.

"We haven't met her yet but she's 75 years old and she needs some help mowing," said Blaine Reynolds. "That's the least we could do."

Don't ya mean corporate statutes and ordinances were broken. There is no law a corporation can enact. Only corporate statutes under "color of law".

They do have similar laws in other cities. I was bitching about my neighbors grass one time and someone told me to call the city, they will make them cut it. Or one neighbor like to keeps his yard looking like sanford and son, same response, call city, they will make them clean it. I never did of course but I guess there is laws making sure you can't bring down a neighbors property value because of your yard..

You'd think with all the wisdom that comes with age that she'd know to mow her fucking grass and show up for court when summoned. What a dumb bitch.

Old people don't necessarily know you can hire someone to do that for you, especially if they're socially isolated, which is something that comes with aging.

My meighbours, Mr and Mrs 'normal' tried to attack me thru the local council, (this was after they spread rumours that I had a marijuana plantation here), so they called the council and complained that my place was a fire hazard because I don't mow (16 acres), but har har, I'm outside the town boundary (small acreage area) so mowing rules don't apply.

This has me thinking. I am retired, I have time and equipment. I wonder how I can find out where the elderly in my area are who cannot take care of their lawns. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to go through some sort of "official" channel so they don't think I'm trying to rob or scam them, though, so Craigslist is out.
