That is my guess. Gas venting and light reflecting off of it.

Just some old abandoned structure, which still powers itself infinitely with technology that we have yet to discover. What's the big deal?

The Ceres light picture shows what could be a door open with a ramp to the surface and an antenna.

By darkening the highlights, he's adding a filter to the original picture, and effectively adding false information to the original image. Had he used just brightness/contrast to arrive at a similar result, then I would have been more impressed.

The original photo is in very weak quality and the photo above it's the same plus added highlighting filter and balance/contrast manipulation. The end result tells lies, is even worse than original.
