Season shift?
Something I have been noticing for years but has seemed to be amplified over the last 18 months.
I have lived in Montana for 35 years. It seems like the seasons are starting and ending early regardless of what is considered normal.

Elk hunting during bow season last fall 2014. Usually peak rut is the last week of September here in Montana. We hunted opening day last fall and the elk were in rut early September 1st. About a month early.

Same with the whitetail rut. 3-4 weeks early this past fall.

Also the snow came early. The most snow we had was in December. By Mid Jan it started to melt. About a month early.

This spring the rains came in March vs April and May this year. About 5 weeks early.

The Bears came out of their dens a month early this year. About 6 weeks early.

We have already had temps into the 90s this June and are supposed to be 102f by the end of next week. It's still will be June. We usually don't get heat like that until the beginning of August. We broke records here about 10 days back.

My folks own a cherry orchard and live on a large lake. The cherries are already coming into harvest. 4 weeks early. The lake temp is already 69f which is about a month early as well.

A good friend of mine said he picked ripe huckleberries in the mountains yesterday. Which is about 6 weeks early.

Regardless of normal Cycles. Everything is about 4-6 weeks ahead of normal. it will be interesting to see how the fall elk and deer rut go when the snow starts.

I don't want to hear global warming bs and every other bs conspiracy. Or hunting sucks. Just an observation.

Has anyone else noticed a shift over the last year or two? Is this going on around the country, world? Regardless of normal or solostices everything is 4-6 weeks ahead of time over the 30 year norm.

Re: Season shift?
I'm in Montana as well, Op. This past Friday my mother and I both remarked how strangely "fall-ish" it felt. So bizarre. Even the angle of the sun and the shadows cast made it feel like it was mid September. I don't know, things just seem...off.
