If you had to choose which dump would you rather visit and/or live in? Ciudad Juarez or Lake Tahoe?

Tahoe has some great mountains for snowboarding... maybe it's changed but I'm pretty sure the people of tahoe aren't having there heads cut off by drug cartels...

OP is trying to buy a house in Tahoe I guess and wants the prices to dip. I am not there myself, but I don't see anyone else saying these things about Tahoe.

Tahoe is so bad and crime ridden one would be much safer walkling the streets of Detroit or Juarez at night than even driving around Lake Tahoe even during the day. I'm not jealous of any loser likeyou who lives in what is by far the biggest shithole and the ugliest dirtiest lake in the ugliest area on the planet and probably even the whole universe. Juarez is a total shithole and I don't care to ever set foot in it ever again but I would live the rest of my life in and never be allowed to leave Juarez than step foot in Tahoe again. I never felt as scared for my life as when I was in Tahoe and I remember I was so excited about going to Tahoe before I went there. It sounded like as if it were even more beautiful than Crater Lake, the Rockies, the Cascades or Yellowstone and somany of my friends envied me and wished they could go because they also heard the lies about how great it was and all the fake photoshopped pictures.However the two weeks I spent there was the worst 2 weeks of my life and 2 weeks I'll never get back and I'm shocked I survived it with how many times I was held at gun and/or knife point by people trying to rob m(thank god I was armed), carjacked while I was in my car,bums and drug addicts nonstop begging for money. I had several bums and hookers try to open my car door while I was driving and try to break into my motel room while I was in it. Never had i had all that shit happen to me even when when i've been in crime ridden shitholes like Detroit,L.A., Compton, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, or even Juarez. The girls in tahoe are uglier than fuck too. About all of them have no boobs are extremely obese and weigh about 400+ lbs. and are infested with acne. Tahoe truly is the shittiest place in the world and probably the universe. Even the worst shitholes like Juarez, Honduras, Iraq, Iran, and North Korea are absolutely gorgeous seem like absolute paradise compared to the godawful shithole tahoe is. To say Tahoe is hell would be an insult to hell. Not even Satan deserves to be insulted that bad.

This guy is absolutely spot on with what he says about how much a dumpy dirty ugly crime ridden hellhole lake Tahoe is and obviously knows all the pictures that try to make Tahoe look beautiful are all fake and photoshopped. Though a bunch of the other dumbasses who either have never been there and have just seen a bunch of fake photoshopped pictures which try to make it look beautiful when it's not beautiful in the slightest, live there and are in denial of how much of a shithole their ugly dumpy dirty polluted lake is, or those who are so brainwashed they believe everything the media says even when they see it for themselves fall for the fake photoshopped pictures and are commenting how beautiful it is. Let me guess you must have stayed in South Lake Tahoe. If your talking about South Tahoe then I fully agree with you. South Tahoe does indeed suck ass. Most of the rest of Tahoe is beautiful it's just South Tahoe that sucks and is dirty dumpy and dangerous. My suggestion is to stay north shore, west shore,east shore north of South Tahoe, or even southwest shore but avoid the city of South Tahoe sucks.To be even more specific from about the casinos to the 50&89 junction is the part of Tahoe to avoid.Go anywhere else in Tahoe and you'll love it

No there is no beautiful part of Tahoe. All of Lake Tahoe is ugly, dirty, dumpy,polluted, and crime ridden and makes even the worst hellholes such as Juarez and Baghdad look beautiful and like paradise in comparison

I wouldn't care much to live around Lake Tahoe but you couldn't pay me to even visit Juarez let alone live there. Whereas Lake Tahoe is nice to see as a detour for a day maybe two to relax if your passing through the area.


I didn't find anywhere around Lake Tahoe dumpy or dangerous. Didn't go around the whole lake though so maybe there might be a part that is dumpy and dangerous I don't know but I doubt any part of Lake Tahoe is as bad as Juarez. Juarez is one of the most dangerous cities in the world. I think the main issue with living around Lake Tahoe would be boredom. Just not much happening or a lot to do there. Pretty to look at but not much else. That said even though Lake Tahoe is nowhere near my top choice of place to live I would live there anyday before I'd live in Juarez.

You obviously must be confusing Lake tahoe with the true dump that is about an hour away that is Reno. Tahoe is gorgeous,very safe with very little crime, not at all dumpy, and a very fun place. Now Reno on the other hand which is just an hour away is truly a crime ridden dump. A very scary and horrible slum that should be avoided at all costs. They call Reno The Biggest little City in The World. I call it The Biggest Little Shithole in The World. But seriously though Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I was in Juarez about ten years ago, it's a typical bordertown with that shack look about it, but I felt safe, walked everywhere, even at night in the worst areas.

The whole place is a dump.
I will not even talk of the smell of brimstone in the morn.
The defalcation is everywhere up there.
Like there are animals and strange sounds that do bump in the night.

Crime is rampant and the officials partake in the outsider roundup.
Best to stay away, there are eyes in them hills too.

While I will disagree with OP about Lake Tahoe being ugly or even dangerous I will say that Tahoe does indeed suck. Sure Tahoe is beautiful. Just too bad the people there are total assholes. They have this whole my shit don't stink attitude like there too good for anyone who's not from there. Not to mention everything there is ridiculously expensive. i will say though that as much as I hate Tahoe I'll take it any day over Reno. At least Tahoe is pretty to look at and doesn't have much crime even if people are total assholes. Reno on the other hand is ugly, dumpy and people are total assholes and totally crazy.

Tahoe is breathtakingly beautiful. How lucky you are to be able to live there.
