Quoting: Fret Wiz I can hear the TV commercial now... I'll stick with aspirin, but I have to be in a lot of pain to even do that, maybe 2-3 times a year. I'm the same way. I only take it if it is absolutely necessary. I thought this may affect a lot of people though. I'll add then when I take it, I take 800mg at a time. It might kill me but I won't be feeling any pain. I'm not an anti-drug person, but it has been known for ages that they obliterate your liver function when taken on a regular basis. This isn't some naturalnews crap, it is acknowledged by all in the medical/pharmaceutical field. So you people who are on a schedule of popping these daily for pain relief are really at risk, please research the subject. It isn't something to be taken lightly. |

Now we are saying they do cause increased risk of heart attack and stroke," FDA spokesman Eric Pahon told NBC News. The warning covers drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDS for short. They include ibuprofen, sold under brand names like Advil or Motrin; naproxen (Aleve), as well as prescription arthritis drugs known as COX-2 inhibitors, such as Celebrex. Tylenol, known generically as acetaminophen, is not an NSAID. Cough and cold remedies can also contain NSAIDs as an ingredient. "Balance the benefits of NSAIDs with the possible risks and weigh your options. If you take low-dose aspirin for protection against heart attack and stroke, you should know that some NSAIDs, including ibuprofen and naproxen, can interfere with that protective effect." And the agency gives advice on what symptoms to look for. "Stop taking NSAIDs and seek medical help if you experience symptoms that might signal heart problems or stroke, such as chest pain, trouble breathing, sudden weakness in one part or side of the body, or sudden slurred speech." thank you my dear. I hate most medicines and this kind of thing is exactly why. the ones you NEED, take them. into the trash with any others. Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face – Thomas Sowell |

Take about 3 tablespoons worth (A lot) twice a day and it works better as an anti-inflammatory agent on my osteo-arthritis than 800mg ibuprofen twice a day. The piperine in the black pepper is a catalyst for the curcumin in the tumeric to work far better, and be absorbed better. The black pepper has a long list of benefits as well. |
