Why would they assimilate into a society that
hates and rejects them?
Besides that, most of the land they live on was
literally stolen from Mexico to begin with.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 58727634 because maybe, just maybe, if you are going to abandon your third world $hithole homeland and go someplace better, then it might just make sense to get with the program and tap into what makes that better place a destination that attracted you in the first place if you are simply going to 'take back' the land and turn it back into the same third world $hithole that you just abandoned, then why not just save yourself the time and effort and stay put in your homeland?
