I'm going to respectfully disagree with you on this. My niece was about 5 when her other aunt got married. She was so enthralled by it all that she decided that she was going to marry some boy on a Disney show. No one coerced her, she just decided that she was going to marry him. Of course she had no real concept of what a marriage actually was, she just wanted the pretty dress, flowers and attention that her aunt was getting.

In the article it states that one of the child's relatives was planning her own wedding so I'd bet that this is where she got the idea.

In any other circumstance I would find this to be extremely creepy but from what I read in the article this all appears to be innocent.

I'm always up for a good conspiracy theory but I don't believe in this case that the event was covered in order to normalize such a union.
