Oh! I've really got to make it to the Big Island someday! Got lots of friends that want me to visit but with no ID, I'll need to find someone with a boat or private plane. :(

I used to catch the bus at Pali and Jack lane! I walked to st. Francis hospital (now HMC) from there--I know the neighboorhood well. Best wishes on the big island!!

Hey thanks, I have many friends over there! I'm very fortunate to be part of a spiritual community who know me well and I am going to visit Paradise, Mt. view, Volcano and other places farms who have cows that are loved and never abused! They make the best raw milk and they are so very sweet. Not to mention all the fruit growing and Sugar cane. Big Island is definately a Spiritual planet all by itself! There is so much life on all these Islands and wonderful fresh smells and tastes that I am enlivened everyday to be a part. We are very fortunate to be here my friends! Blessings and abundance!

You could charter a boat from my friend Capt. Howard in Waimanalo. It would be costly and he might get lost on the way lol, life in the Islands is always an adventure! I hope you make it to the Jurassic Island too Rev!

LOL! I'll pass on getting lost at sea. One of my close neighbors is a retired United Airlines pilot - got his own plane in Lihue I think - I might have to sweet talk him for lift to the Big Island someday. :)

We have good friends In Puna,orchidland. We visited for 2 weeks over the 4th of July last year-- were planning going to move there--it's so appealing in so many ways!! It is a VERY SPIRITUAL PLACE! But then we have 2 young children, one with special needs, and the hospital isn't quite up to participate for that --so many considerations...
we'd love to be more rural but our kids needs have to come first. We rent on Oahu, we could own on big island-- been here almost 20 years. Hope you find what you're looking for over there! Keep me updated, you sound like me but 20 years younger and a bit more "free."

I think you'd love the BI Rev! Totally different feel but just as, if not more so in places, magical.....otherwordly....hope you make it there someday!

I don't have cable TV-- just internet, Netflix, chromecast, etc... whatever I can stream...No hype and i dont think even mention on the 5 o' clock news tonight of Hilda, that I heard streaming on my tablet (Hawaii News Now). Weird, now that you mention it...

Maybe?!? NOAA's 5am discussion mentioned a chance of strengthening over the next 24 hrs, could it reach a cat 4?
max winds are at 115 mph--130 and higher is Cat 4. This one is different than Guillermo -- it seems to be intensifying more rapidly!

Haha I'm 43! I never got married and spiritualism is the key to my happiness and youthful looks. Living a life in Kundalini, hatha and Bhakti yoga helps so much. also a vegetarian. My body is getting older but my spirit is youthful and eternal, just like yours. Not identifying with death and old age helps too! Yeah Capt. Howard is a little silly and out there but his heart is love. Just telling you what he he told me when I asked him to ferry me and my scooter to the Big Island. I sold my scooter in only a half hour so the funds will help me get a car when I get there, if this hurricane doesn't disrupt things too much.
