Honestly, it couldn't happen soon enough for me either. My wife is a controlling shopaholic and I made great sacrifices to end all my addictions for the sake of my family yet she just keeps getting worse and worse spending every dollar I own, every single day and its sickening the shit I'm going through right now with her. I wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy, to live how I'm living right now.

I had to invest all my money and make it extremely hard to get to just so she wont blow every dollar, and I had it set up where I had a certain amount of income every week for food and bills, but then every day my wife knows I will have money coming she slaps a huge list of shit she wants (not needs)on my desk first thing in the morning or if I'm sleeping she'll wake me up screaming in my face "I NEED TO GO TO THE STORE RIGHT NOW!", and its never about important things, its always BULLSHIT like facial cream and expensive shampoos and stuff like that, not to mention when she makes me take her to the store EVERY DAY now she disappears and shows back up with a full cart, then she'll tell me okay go pay for this I'll go put the kid in the car, and she runs away and leaves me, the fool, standing there with a full cart before I can even question why she needs all the junk or tell her to get the expensive stuff at a later time, and if I DARE put one thing back we'll get home and she'll say WHERES MY FUCKING CREAM? I ask her if she can eat that cream to survive, she says no and we get in a bigger argument than before! I can't take her I keep telling her to stop this shit around my kid but she just keeps getting worse and worse. Now my son is starting to copy her and honest to God he makes me play video games. He's 6 so when he gets stuck on a part, instead of asking me if I could help him like I was teaching him to do, he'll DEMAND that I play the game for him and he MAKES me beat it, which I don't mind playing with my son we play all the time but for him to throw a controller in my lap and DEMAND that I play the game just seems like what my wife does about shopping, only thing they're missing is a gun pointed at my head!

I'm just going to let her do it her way, I'm going to sell all the things I've invested in and take a huge loss, and just let her go crazy and blow all our money on cream and shampoo and coach purses and everything. The asshole is such a shopaholic that she bought this big expensive Coach purse and then told me she was going to return it, she takes it back to the store and changes her mind THEN buys ANOTHER ONE! It was all a big elaborate lie for me to take her back to the store so she could buy another purse! Then I, for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, bought two new pairs of shoes and every time we get in an argument she points at the shoes and whines about how come I get two pairs of shoes but when she buys two purses I get mad well my shoes were less than a hundred bucks a pair her purses were like $500 EACH! THAT'S WHY!!

She is the kind of person who can't be satisfied or content, she's always needing more more more and I can't stand her anymore she makes my life hell. I've been just sticking with her the past couple years for my son but that isn't even working anymore she's making his life shitty now too. He asks her why she fights with me all the time, why she doesn't feed him or take care of him anymore, why daddy has to do everything, and she doesn't give a fuck as long as there is money to be spent she's happy, but then when I take her to the store every day she just ABSOLUTELY HAS TO SPEND EVERY LAST DOLLAR IN MY POCKET or else she considers that trip to the store ruined, and then she flips the fuck out on me again. I've never seen shit like this, If I come home with ten or twenty bucks in my pocket it EATS HER UP and she HATES IT. I don't see why she has to make me entirely flat fucking broke every day?

She used to like going to thrift stores and goodwill every day, which I didn't mind I'd find a few things here and there to sell on my eBay which I use to supplement our income, and I'd tell her to buy whatever she wanted. Everyone would say hey at least she isn't throwing a fit to go to the expensive stores every day, well now that I've run into a little money she only wants to hit the expensive stores!

I was hoping things would get better, but lately things are a million times worse. I don't keep my money in the bank and my wife knows this, then yesterday she was stashing away the bank statement in the dresser to go through later, when her name isn't on my account anymore ( had to get her off it when she spent ALL my money last time we had a joint account), so she's stealing my mail and hiding it away to read later on. She acts like she should be able to spend ALL my money and she doesn't think ahead to the future at all like I do. I wanted to start an eBay store since I've been making a whole lot of money off there again lately, I used to do that for years I'd buy from flea markets and such then list the things online and now that I've started it again I was buying things that were around $5-$8 and then I waited a couple weeks and turned around and sold the same things for $12.50-$20 so that is a fairly hefty increase of value. She don't care though, she just wishes that she could get into my money and blow it all on junk. Its a damn shame my 6 yr old son tells me he's never going to get married because he sees how sad mommy makes his daddy and he doesn't ever want to live a sad person like his daddy...

I hadn't smoked in a year, well yesterday after she woke me up screaming in my face for the sixth straight day in a row, I went and got my smokes out of the kitchen cabinet and went out and had one. First smoke in a year, all because she's such a bitch. Its a damn shame, but cancer would be a nice alternative to what I'm going through now.

So if the world would just please kindly get on with it...I will be free from all this shit and burden.

I do not want crap to hit the fan.
I do not want any trouble what so ever.
I do not want war of any kind, unless we are being attacked in our homeland. That is self defense forced upon us.

I do not want anything at all that is hurtful to us and that means any of us.
But we can not control nature or the environment so to say.
We can see this and non one want it.

I worry we will do something that is hurtful by bad decisions and get smacked with a catastrophe in the heat of that bad idea.

I've often struggled with the OP's mindset myself.
I have questioned myself and wondered whats wrong with me.
But now I think I've been able to come to some peaceful terms with myself.

You see I don't want tons of innocent people dying.
But at the same time a crisis does give one quite the adrenaline rush.Right after 9/11( before I woke up),I felt such a rush of comradeship and patriotism.

Everyone seemed to come together,and help each other out.And we all reveled in having a united front against the evil 'terrorists',that we were presented with.Of course knowing what I do now,I can only feel disgust for those that deceived us.If another such attack happened;I could not support the war effort now,seeing as I know the real culprits.

However I think I'm yearning much for for change in general,then I am outright doom.Do I enjoy the current comforts I have?Of course!And once SHTF really happens;I highly doubt it will be nearly as romantic like,as we are thinking.To be honest I will probably be hoping it was back like it is now pretty quickly lol.

Yet some part deep in me can't help but hope,it could lead to a simpler way of life.Maybe we can spend our days manually washing clothes,gardening,hunting/foraging etc.Instead of the painfully repetitive work/sleep/work/sleep rat race life has become.

Maybe we could sit and tell stories around campfires and lamps with friends/family/neighbors,and really get to know them for once.Rather then never bonding due to having our noses stuck in tv,phone,and computer screens all the time.
