Are Lenovo and Acer laptops any good?

I bought my ACER in 2009,it's been wonderful,haven't had it serviced once, My son had a TOSHIBA,which gave him nothing but problems,I advised buying an ACER-he didn't.Short of a few brain cells,he bought ANOTHER TOSHIBA which,once again was nothing but problems.He relented and bought an ACER finally,and until he literally burned it out (he is VERY hard on things) it worked like a dream.It's obviously 2015 so I don't know if the quality is still good with ACER,but mine has been great,has DOLBY SURROUND SOUND-movies are like you're in a theatre.

Dude lenovo has spyware built into the firmware. Its hardcoded that is extreme.

ive had a Toshiba and its given me so so issues. I will definitely look into acer. cheers.

acers are kinda cheap, lenovo makes good quality stuf.

WRONG One of my laptops is an Acer, been in daily use minimum of 12 hrs/day sevan days a week since 2006. More headaches with my HP Pavilion.

i have a acer 4820tg i5 2,4 ghz since dec 2010 used it evry day avg 6 hours , the only thing that i did upgrated was the hdd with a ssd ,,,battery wear only 15 %.

Acer a front runner.

they all use the same parts made in bulk in china...just slightly designed differently...there is no difference

My ACER when new was,including tax,$900.00+,then another I bought with 20 inch screen was $1400.00,but I guess they're.... CHEAP.

now can run on battery on power plan about 5 hours on browsing,48xx series is a compact book with 14 inch display but also dvd rom and ati dedicated graphic card.

tards at work bought a whole fleet of lenovo's. they are absolute garbage.

I'm running an Acer laptop right now. I've only had it since last fall but it's perfectly fine and so was the cost ($358 including warranty, bought at the portal to hell, Walmart).

those cheap ass laptops usually fall apart within 1 year, good thing you got warranty.

I have an Acer that I bought around Christmas of last year; so far it's great.

its down to Acer and an 8 GB Toshiba.

mine has lasted 7 years and still runs the latest games with only video card and ram upgrades that i added last year.

Lenovo used to be made in the U.S. Now in China.

I gotta say... Back when they wee US made I bought about 40 of them for work. They worked great and were durable. The best part was the keyboard. Great feel to them.

But after moving to China production... Nope. Not doing that.

I bought a brand new Acer E-15 with 64bits Windows 8.1
It has a dead pixel.

When you type really fast it sounds like the laptop is hollow.

I have a sub 12month old all in one lenovo desktop. Nearly a grand. It's sitting next to this desk on the floor. It's been fixed twice, now they are claiming it's software issues and not under warranty. Even though Newegg claims the warranty covers it all, and the first fix they claimed it was softerware and fixed it.

Fuck Lenovo. Fuck Newegg.

This is a small office, that's why I bought the all in one.

Also........fuck Lenovo for the fact of all the illegal spy bullshit they install.

Just my experience. HOpe yours is better.

All I do is surf and sell shit on the net. I currently use refurbished desktops in the $100 range that I buy of ebay. I will NEVER buy new again.
