I already have a stand alone 500 gallon propane gas tank, but I picked up a Troy-Bilt XP 7000-Running Watts Portable Generator yesterday just in case. It's nice... it'll run the well, and a whole lot of other things, not the whole house, but I'll make it just fine. The only thing that bothers me about generators, they're so dang loud. [ link to i3.photobucket.com] Nice. Costco has one for $500 this week but only people who live in the burbs or in smaller towns can get them. People respect other people's property out there. People respect other people's property out there~? Wow.. Delusional.. All humans are classified as predators and after apx 96 hrs without perceived options for survival make the psychological determination to rob, injure or kill to survive.. It's not even a choice.. The survival instinct kicks in.. Hell.. if you just cut a humans food intake by half~? The human starts to have cannibalistic dreams after just 7 or 8 days.. Yes. This includes people from the Midwest too..
