I have lived on Earth a little over 5 decades. Life has beaten and trampled me more times than I care to remember. I have gotten back up, stronger each time.

Being gentle doesn't mean you're a rug and allow people to walk over you. It means you have compassion for all life.


Exactly. Life is not about who wins or loses, it's about who can get back up after losing.


Then you are still in the win-lose game as it seems to me. Getting back, stuff like that. Believe me, I've also been stabbed in my back and betrayed more times than I care to remember.

Another way of dealing with it is by getting head to head with your true enemy. Your own fear, of failing to be this and that, of your "demons", death, whatever. The only real enemy is fear itself. Also the fear experienced by others is an enemy to our common wellbeing.

Being gentle is a great way of coming into a position of eliminating that enemy.
