Truthfully tho, as mentioned, bears and mtn lion will eat any chicken here so his flock was always at "risk" so to speak. If I built a coop I would have to raise it up and tranquilize predators, and that's a lot to do. Thus, mine is not a chicken zone and I realize that. But this neighbor I loved him because as a true American rebel he gave zero shits about how many chickens he raised and I loved that attitude.
