Anyone having odd power outages?

So, this is the second time in a month that the power has gone out. This has not happened in such a long time. I think the last time it actually went out was 6 or more years ago. But, about a month ago it went out & then popped back on again 5 min. later. But usually when the power goes out it doesn't effect everything. But the street lights were out along with everything around me. This time the power went out I called the power co. from my cell they said I was the first that called but they told me that numerous others were out of power. They were almost about to tell me there was no problem, until they heard people behind me talking. Seriously who makes up a power outage.... But, they said it would come back on at 3am. Which at the time was about 2 1/2 hours later. So sitting around waiting, they ended up being a bit late came on almost 3 hours later. But, has any one else had and power outages happening recently and more than once?
