Whites are naturally better adapted for the cold environment. For example the prominent bridge of their nose, warms the air prior to it entering the body, so keeps them warmer in colder temperatures. You'll see for yourself in a cold environment, the non-white will typically get colder more quickly.

A decisive battle in WW2, was the battle of Stalingrad. The key reason the soviets won was due to their preparation for the extreme cold, they were better prepared.

There's a reason the whites are originally associated with being in the cold northern Europe, this is where they had their natural advantage. Here the environment, nature was fighting on their side.

Even in the Olympics, whites dominate in the winter Olympics.
