Re: Chemo & 7 Days later
Something good must be coming your way. You are facing all this because you can. In any cancer, the patient and the loved ones both go through hell. He suffers and you suffer. No vistors after chemo they bring germs and chemo destroys immunity.
Write a list, take one at a time. Check them off as you get through them. Make, your loved one drinks tons of water to flush the, poison out. Buy some nice flowers. As soon as they wilt throw them out. Feed your loved one cereal. Any kind does not matter. As much as they can eat. It is never going to be easy but you can make it manageable.
I am a ALL Leukemia survivor along with a Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplant. Never been the same since. We all went through hell. Not,saying it picnic now but it is manageable.

Hubby slept most of the day...so unlike him. He drinks lots of water...He was doing "great", but they increased the chemo from 80 to 100 I just know it was increased., with magnesium...that was three weeks ago with three doses to now. This is the last I hope...He has two weeks off and then CT scan...my prayer is that the cancer is gone. Forever.

Chemo sucks. Just did 6 months but didn't get any down time. Let him rest and be there for him. If it wasn't for my wife, I would not have made it so well.

Sorry things are rough for you and I hope they get better, but right now it's all about your husband. Find a good outlet (like GLP !) to come and vent, let out a little frustration and find some entertainment. Let it out here so your mind is ready when you go back to reality.

I wish you both the best. Give it a bit of time for the trials to pass.

WHAT A BRIGHT LIGHT YOU ARE!!!! Six months and no down time?????????? We were happy to have 5 days. Oh my God, Do you realize what a testimony you are? I as soon as I get off here, will say the bestest prayer I could ever say for you! You have given much hope to those, us, that are restless, in the word. TYTYTYTYTYTY.

Re: Chemo & 7 Days later
I'm sorry you and your husband have had to endure so much. The last 8 years have been rough ones for us and sometimes it feels like you just can't catch a break.

I have a list of things I give thanks to God for every night before falling asleep. I have a wonderful husband. We have enough to eat and a roof over our heads. We have 3 children and 4 beautiful grandchildren. My husband has a decent paying job. It helps me stay positive by focusing on the good things in my life.

Here are two Bible verses I repeat to myself in times of great despair.

Psalms 34:14 Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I'm praying for you and your husband. God bless. hf

God was with me every step of the way.
Hang in there and come back here when you need to vent. You can always find someone to listen and help bring you up. We know it's just as hard for our wife, we are just helpless to do anything about it. Just remember, we still love you and you are what keeps us holding on.

Re: Chemo & 7 Days later
Prayers for you and your Hubby my friend. The thing that always makes me feel better is to count the blessings I do have and be grateful my plight is not worse than it is. Your husband is tired but still here. Chemo wipes out your immune system which I can tell you from experience is exhausting and not something you easily bounce back from.

Perhaps you should inform your company that it is not a good time for a visit because of your husband's illness. Take as much stress as possible off of yourself. Right now you must stay strong to take care of your husband and yourself. Praying things get better for you both.

Re: Chemo & 7 Days later
There are CANCER CURES on the Internet of which everyone should be made aware of. I am sorry that you are unaware of that fact. Cancer is known as Candida which is a fungus. One of the CURES involves baking soda. I take Bob's Red Mill Baking soda about 3 to 4 times a week to keep my body alkaline. Bob's Red Mill does not contain aluminum which is related to Alzheimer's. The key to be disease free is to keep your body alkaline rather than acidic. That would be a subject of research for you also.
Please stay away from chemo and radiation. It breaks my heart to hear of people who believe that chemo and radiation should ever be utilized.

Please learn the truth about the Cancer Industry. I do not like saying this to those who have suffered but Cancer (Candida) iis big business and little truth.

Learn about keeping your body alkaline rather than acidic. Also, once you learn TRUTH, please tell others.

he should eat lots of red meat, organs, fat and hot spices and get as much sun as possible without getting burns. anything that increases the fire element in his body. iodine is good, too.

Re: Chemo & 7 Days later
Today has been better. I can't thank you all enough
for sending prayers, important information. You all have brightened my heart. May God Bless everyone of you, in
Jesus Precious Name.

I know life in just one day can change for all of us.
Just a little over one year ago. My husband took me
to Vegas, first time we were ever there together. My daughter and son in law met us there for
be a nice birthday day dinner for me. He rented a limo
and we drove around sipping champagne and then the driver
said we had to get out of the limo, car trouble. Well,
guess where we pulled over? My husband planned all this,
plus had us girls a whole day at the salon. Nails, make-up
hair, and a facial. The vid is only five minutes. It's
one of the best times in my life.

Take care of the ones you love, time is shorter than we think.

Oh no! I'm so very sorry. How are YOU holding up?
I will say special prayers, I can't imagine three loved
ones at once. I send you my heart with love and as
many Blessings as possible.
I know what you mean about chemo side effects. The
problem here, is it escaped the lungs, and they gave him three months to live. He's still here. Thank God.

I wish you the very best, you are a very special person!hfhfhfhfhfhfhf

It may not get better quickly but after a while you just stop caring.

You need to reground youself.

I don't post here much, but I am so sorry to hear that things aren't going well for you and your family.

I had emergency surgery in June and have only started to feel better, so I can't imagine what seven months of chemo feels like.

And.....I wonder about people who invite themselves to stay knowing what your family is going through. Perhaps you need to set some boundaries? Nothing wrong with that!!

Please take good care of yourself, as I know how draining this all can be.

Strip it back to one day at a time, you can make it through.

Prayers for you and your husband.

Re: Chemo & 7 Days later
A close friend of mine who was a toxicologist/Pathologist and ran a drug testing laboratory doing long and short term drug studies for every major drug company when diagnosed with malignant leukemia and given 6 months to live, his comment to his oncologist who wanted to put him on chemo:

"I tested that stuff on dogs and saw what it did to them, if you think you are going to use it on me you are crazy"

That was in 1992, he went to Europe got 2 weeks of IV megadose Vitamin C, it cured his leukemia and he lived until late 2010.
