All of the Southern Hemisphere flights like from Peru or Brazil or Argentina - to Australia, for instance are routed through North America first, and if you look at them drawn out on the UN (flat-earth) map they are almost in a straight line that way.

Why if the world is round is the shortest route so long?

As a former flight crew member, believe me...it's a round globe. Try understanding tranverse Mercator projection and secant lines...for starters.

A vectored course plotted on a standard projection map will show true distance...convert the planar map into it's true transversal form and the routes will refill to true direct courses.

All I can do is show them these videos. I am a total noob

at the Flat earth, all of the points I made came from the
