I have a small farm in a summer hot area and water is always an issue. Saw the time on the video and was like really? But I thought I would give it 5 mins or so. Ended up watching most all of it.

First year or so growing, I had a problem with bottom rot on the tomatoes. It is not caused by calcium deficiency, but inconsistent watering. I went to mulching a couple years back and it resolved the bottom rot, but I was only mulching about a 2 foot diameter around each plant.

Last year I mulched an area for Roma tomatoes for our canning. The area was the easiest to care for. The video is accurate. This winter will be focused on spreading as much FREE mulch from our local land fill and give the tiller a rest.

Thanks for posting the video.
