Oddysey, Colecovision and Intellivision respectively. I think your professor is making up a story. If you want to get on his bad side and fail the class, ask him for his sources. Though this professor of yours is talking about Nintendo, which came after all the other pre-1984 crash originals we listed. It may be possible the Russians saw what kind of havoc the first generation systems had on young kids and decided to exploit that by funding the second generation. I suppose it is possible but I'd have to see his sources on this one. |

Sounds like BS but if it's true I want to thank them, those were some of the best times of my youth |

Russkies gave up cause they were skeert, cause Russkie kids couldn't afford video games. Learn your history, tards. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70599877 China 10/23/2015 05:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I remember in 1981 that word on the street in the neighborhood of my friend's house (not in China) was that this family had a computer. We didn't know them, but for some reason we just went round there one night (was dark, around dinner time) and knocked on the door and asked them if we could see it. Was a little rude in hindsight...but the father said..'errm it's a little late and we are having dinner'. We kept pressuring a little I guess and he caved in, invited us in and showed it to us. Was some monstrosity with a tiny little green screen all-in-one job (screen was only about 120x120mm). We played some stupid addition game (all they had) until they said I think it's time you boys went home. We didn't know them from a bar of soap. That was my first time on a computer. |
