On the Bárðarbunga earthquakes
Seismic moment release on the caldera ring fault

Seismic measurements around Bárðarbunga volcano show that the seismic moment release on the caldera ring fault has been gradually increasing since mid September 2015. This means that stronger earthquakes than before are detected in the last months. Despite of the increasing activity, there are currently no signs of volcanic tremor.

The analysis of the earthquake data suggests that the movement on the fault is opposite to what it was during the subsidence period during the Holuhraun eruption. Continuous GPS measurements show movements away from Bárðarbunga, suggesting inflation. Satellite images processed by the University of Iceland show that hydrothermal cauldrons in the ice at the caldera rim have been deepening, which might reflect increasing geothermal activity.

Since the end of the Holuhraun eruption in February 2015, 45 earthquakes of magnitude larger than M3 have been detected around the Bárðarbunga caldera, 42 of them since 1st September 2015 and 31 since 1st January 2016. Strongest events were M4.2 on 8th April 2016 and M4.4 on 20. May 2016. Despite of the increasing activity, there are currently no signs of volcanic tremor.

Increasing activity under Bárðarbunga in the last months might reflect magma accumulation below the volcano. Though other explainations have been considered, for example increasing water pressure in the hydrothermal system inside the caldera, pressure changes due to changing ice load or increased friction on the ring fault due to increasing magma pressure.

The Icelandic Meteorological Office is following the activity 24/7 and will update the public in case of any changes.

Wubbo, when you look at the chart, what sort of things do you link it with in your thinking? Do you go check solar flares? Electrons? Proton storms? the magnetosphere? Cosmic ray charts?

concerning the Bovis Units.. i think it is a very good indicator of de totality of the current influx of energies, and i mean ALL types of energies (measurable and not measurable by our "official" instruments, because a lot falls out of the measurable spectrum)

in this case i think it could be a combination of multiple factors:

- the rapid weakening of our magnetosphere, which on itself causes all these types of energy to permeate our atmosphere much much more
- solarwindstream (minor) hitting right now, but more effective due to the weakening magnetosphere
- that big sunspot directly facing Earth right now. Which IMO is a portal / multidimensional energy transformer/portalis, and is magnetically connected with Earth right now...
After all, the ancients did not assume the Sun to be the complete source of its own light. They assumed it to be a great focal point in space. Which collected the great energies from the field of space. And reflected them downward into another condition of space, which we call matter. Therefore the Sun was suspending between space and matter, causing the energie of space to permeate all material things.

Excellent answer, thank you. I believe there is lots of energy hitting us that we don't have instruments to measure yet. I also believe the sun is a lens, directing great central sun energy to our solar system. Wonder how we are going to survive this weakening magnetosphere. Frogs in the boiling pot of water analogy comes to mind.

when on October 26th 2015 (the day after i made this thread) these planets aligned there was a massive near M8 earthquake in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan that was felt across one third of asia almost. Unprecedented..
Especially because it happened exactly(!) 6 months after the Nepal quake, when Earth was starting squaring Jupiter (Osiris) and Aquarius again.

And not long after i made this thread i learned about this correlation between the Jupiter-Earth-Venus cycle and cosmic ray counts:
