Bone Tomakawk. Kurt Russell's best fucking movie. Ever.
So I turned this on last night figuring it'd be terrible and that I'd watch a few minutes and bail. It was described as a Kurt Russell western/horror movie but apparently it was deemed straight to video quality and I did not expect much. Bummer. I ended up sitting there with my eyes glued to the screen for over 2 hours. It's got a bit of a slow pace so if you're one of those people who needs an explosion or a car chase every 5 minutes, this ain't for you. The first 3/4 is about the thought it provokes. "What would I do here?" kinda stuff. Turn it on and hang in there.

Without giving any spoilers away; the end of the movie is seriously, seriously, seriously fucked up. First movie since 'Aftershock' that's bothered me to the point where I was actually scared, nauseous and nervous. I woke up this morning still freaked out...and here's why;

SPOILER-ISH - do not read below until after you've seen it.

As I sat there thinking 'thank god I don't live in that era' to make myself feel better, it occurred to me that we actually do. AND WORSE. The things at the end of the movie are for all intents and purposes Muslims. The shit that happens in Bone Tomahawk happens all day, every day in an ISIS camp somewhere. Sure, they may not eat the infidels afterward, but what fucking difference does it make? They kill you the same barbaric ways, are equally unreasonable, are just as depraved morally and just as organized and determined. The more I thought about it; we ARE living in the time of Bone Tomahawk only the Troglodytes have the support of the media, the UN, have access to modern transportation and have gotten smarter about their tactics. They don't even need the whistles anymore; now they have cellphones.

Ultimately I found Bone Tomahawk less a horror movie and more of a cautionary tale about Islam.

Needless to say, I may never sleep again.

Re: Bone Tomakawk. Kurt Russell's best fucking movie. Ever.
Troglodyte to Muslim comparison;

They both live in caves/desert.
They both treat women as inhuman breeding stock.
They're both gang rapists.
They both kill in the most brutal ways possible.
They're both completely focused, determined and efficient tribal killers you cannot possibly reason with.
They're both filthy animals from the dark ages that have no place in civilized society.
They both prefer to kidnap and torture their victims before they kill them.
They both prefer large knives as a weapon.
They're both clever and organized.
They both hate the white man.
They both want the white man's women.

The only thing the Troglodytes didn't do in the movie was carry around a prayer mat or drive a cab.

Mexicans were also accurately represented in the film as plain old Mexicans. More I think about it, Bone Tomahawk is like the Donald Trump of horror flicks; It doesn't give a shit about Hollywood politics.

And now the rest of the story........

I watched the movie in about 30 minutes. It was so badly acted, slow and predictable, anyone can easily scene jump and not miss a beat. The whole narrative contains nothing new and full of the usual hollywood tropes. A B horror film, at best, a shopworn cliche that has been done hundreds of time before.

I watched it also...Kurt Russell plays that role very well, similar to tombstone...I enjoyed the language, dialogue. and conversation and personalities really was back in the western days...direct, stern, most conversations did not get to personal....everyone was cautious with everyone else..

Worth the watch..I enjoyed

Yeah I found it on the ppv channels. I'll watch it later. Speaking of disturbing movies, one of the most disturbing that I've seen in a while was the movie Offspring. It too is about a group of cannibals living in caves. Its one of those movies you wish you could un-see.

Agree....Bone Tomahawk was boring as shit till the very end, and then it wasn't much different than a typical kill the Zombies flick.

You missed the point. The reason it's slow and contains other elements is to manipulate your mood. If you're laughing and its lighthearted, or its romantic, when you get to the violence it's more jarring because of the distance between the two emotions. The word is Juxtaposition. Eli Roth made his career on it (Hostel and Aftershock). Also, the comedy/nostalgia/romantic stuff is to get you to relate to the characters.

The reason you thought it was 'boring as shit' is because you've been emotionally retarded by Marvel movies and you're probably a sociopath. Any normal person with an attention span more than 30 seconds, who possesses the ability for empathy and introspection will enjoy Bone Tomahawk. That's why I warned those who need a car chase, explosion or tits every 5 minutes probably want going to like it. It's not for Mexicans or teenagers basically.

I also apologize for my spelling. That cum guzzling queer running Apple has totally fucked the spell check function. 'TOMAHAWK' not Tomakwak Apple. Jesus. It also replaces words I spelled correctly like 'ain't' for 'want' and then the sentence makes no sense. God I wish Steve Jobs were still alive. He'd never tolerate the level of fail Apple is operating at....

You're outta your mind. It was fucking awesome. Maybe you should stick to the Michael Bay collection for the micro brained.

Again, if you're the kind of person inclined to talk at the theater, you're probably not gonna appreciate this one.
