Those that get AIDS in this day and age are those HIV+ that don't look after their health and neglect medication.

There is no excuse for anyone to let their CD4 count or Viral Load drop to below 200.

Decaprio is a good guess. He fits the profile well. And he is a megastar. Some if the other guesses aren't megastars.

Hiv can be caught even if the celebrity isnt gay. You do need to have gay sex contacting hiv.

All it takes is the wrong woman living with hiv unknowingly sleeping with her ex who had gay sex numerous times or who shared drug needles.

Sheen? LOL...who would be shocked? Most people already assume he's a dead man walking. This 'megastar' is someone people generally think of as having it together. And Sheen isn't a megastar, he's at best a washed up has-been.

Farrell? I doubt it. And I don't know if I'd consider him a megastar. He's a big star, bur not mega.

I think Decaprio fits the bill to a t.

I'm thinking because these kind of articles do tend to exaggerate the 'mega star' bit, I don't think it's a huge blockbuster star like DiCaprio, Bale, Depp, or Tom Hanks. I really don't think it's someone that big. I also don't think it's someone old who's been out of the mainstream for ages now like Rourke, Val Kilmer, Walken, Christian Slater etc, because none of those guys have the type of fanbase that would feel ashamed or let down if it came out. I'm thinking it must be someone who is in their 40s but has been in a few roles or franchise or animated movie recently that attracts a younger, modern audience.

I don't think it's Downey for the reasons you've already said. It leaves me with guys like Vince Vaughn, Keanu Reeves, Adam Sandler, Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck. It's the 'bad boy' part that throws me off though, because with the possible exception of Crowe I don't see it in any of those.

Possibly, but I've seen loads of articles like this about things such as a scandal in music or pop culture and they've labeled the person as a big major star and then when the name comes out everyone is disappointed because it's someone who hasn't been a huge star for decades, but they do maintain like a cult following or a small popular following based off something they've done decades before such as Culkin with Home Alone. Wouldn't be surprised if it's Burt Reynolds.
