At least 1/2 of the male celebs in Hollywood are AC/DC or gay. And if they were among the earlier victims of HIV who were infected in the 80's - we barely knew what HIV was back then. It was years until the virus was isolated and another decade before the effective drugs were first available. Those who can afford top-notch medical care have survived and are now in their 50's and 60's older. Those who didn't get that state-of-the-art care back then are gone now.

Today HIV has become a chronic, yet manageable disease. You can live a normal lifespan but it takes serious meds to do it. The benefit of people being on the cocktails of drugs required is that their viral load becomes so low they cannot infect anyone else.

Trust me when I tell you that in Beverly Hills and Bel Air there are hundreds of big-name celebs, married or not, who have survived the disease and will live well into their 70's or longer. LA and NYC have the best hospitals, best docs for treating the disease and its various complications and some of the major researchers in the field are living and working there, too.
