Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word

I feel so guilty seeking prayers from all of you once again, when so many of our GLP brothers and sisters are in more need then me. :(

I am having major oral surgery Friday afternoon at 3:45pm CST. I am getting massive dental work done, to say the least. I will be getting 5 molars pulled, including 2 wisdom teeth. The oral surgeon will also be repairing 8 other teeth, but if one of the 8 on the save list looks too bad, it will get pulled too.
I will be knocked out, but not numbed. My youngest daughter and my husband will be there with me, so I got a back-up crew.

I am highly allergic to all pain meds, numbing agents, and all antibiotics except for penicillin. So, not only will I not be numbed, but I can't have any pain meds afterwards. Even though I will be knocked out, subconsciously I will still feel all of the pain, because I cannot be numbed in addition to the sedation. This is going to be a very rough time for me. Throw in the fact that I have COPD, the Chronic Bronchitis/Allergic Asthma type, and things can get complicated.

We have been having a very rough time financially, and had to take out a loan to pay for this. I got the cost down a bit, as I have chosen not to have bone grafts. So, right now, we are at $6,900 in the hole, depending if an additional tooth gets pulled besides the 5 that are definitely going.

I have been in constant pain the last few weeks, as one molar is abscessed, and another one broke off at the gum line. Two more are broken, and another one is ready to snap off at the gum line. I have been eating, but my food choices have been limited because of the pain from the teeth, as I cannot really chew. I have been dropping weight. This morning I was down to 91 pounds.

I would appreciate it if all of you could keep my family and myself in your prayers. When I get done with the oral surgery on Friday, not only will I be in a world of pain, but my family is going to have to deal with me.

I just don't know what to say. Literally. I got no answers and a whole lot more questions.

My hematologist is awful. She rubbed me wrong my first appointment, liked her the second (kind of), wasn't her biggest fan at the third (biopsy ~ lol), but today she has lost ALL of my respect, trust, faith (in her as my hematologist), etc.

Once I consult with Google on what the heck any of this report means...which by the way she was refusing over and over to print a copy of for me because she thought it 'would make me more nervous.' The real copy. Not the crap I get from that website. Sorry, most of you probably don't know what I am even talking about with that part. But I wanted the full report. With numbers and details!

And wtf do you mean it will make me more nervous?!

She was all out refusing to print it for me. Finally she agreed as I was becoming noticeably agitated, but told me to have the woman at the front desk print it for me when I scheduled my next appointment...aka on my way OUT.

This all after pretending she read the most important 3 sentences during the appointment. The report is FOUR PAGES long!!!

I'm so disappointed in so many ways about today's appointment. She's rude and sarcastic. Not understanding and/or caring. ZERO compassion!

I feel awful. Mentally and physically at the moment.

That's all I've got. Had some new blood work done. I'll look forward to the anxiety once again over the next 3 weeks while I wait for my doctor to be useless and explain nothing to me about them at my next appointment.

She was/got really unprofessional today. Due to me asking questions.

Just keep the light on for me please.

I am just so very sorry to hear of your issues with the doctor. I've dealt with many awful, uncaring, uneducated, and totally lacking in compassion doctors in my dealing with endometriosis. I wish I could be there to just hug you. I know the pain of arrogant and unhelpful doctors all too well when you need them the most and just so very sorry to hear you are struggling with this.

Will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope that you can find a better and more helpful and kind doctor in your time of need.

Yes...that's been high on all 3 CBC results (8/18, 10/5 and yesterday).

My iron is pretty high out of range as well as my iron saturation.

My homocysteine also came back high out of range.

Vitamin B12 and Folate results both came back within normal range.

Some other out of range (high and low) results on the CBC and Differential.



I called back the office and left a message. They close in about 40 minutes. Haven't gotten a call back yet.

Here is an update (sort of) as of today with a little back and forth between Gomez and myself. I never did get a call back and they are closed now.
