Luke 22:35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing. 36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. 35For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. 38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough. 39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. 40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. 45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

The messages in these verses shows us many things. The first part is the chosen with Jesus needed nothing from the world while Jesus was with them. Jesus is going to leave them for a short while and they will need worldly possessions.

“for the things concerning me have an end,”

Hebrews 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. “
The end of the world started that night in Luke 22.
“2Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. “

“The second time ,”is coming and every generation after Luke 22 was to be looking for Him to return.

“Luke 22:46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.”

We are in a time to be praying and our Spirits to not be sleeping.

“Mark 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”

The Lord pulled from Mark 13 this week already, do not be busy with the cares of this world, “Watch.”
Prayer is our open channel to the Lord and temptation will become stronger in the days ahead. What Jesus did for us on the Cross was to never be taken lightly. Think of the agony Jesus faced that night and on the Cross for us. Look at the state of the world and see how the enemy if fighting to protect his territory, people , places and things. A person of the Lord knows we have no territory here. Pray and Watch is the call we want nothing this earth offers...

“Luke 21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.”

They needed a script in Luke 22 , for a short while...

“Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”

They needed a purse in Luke 22, for a short while.
We are living as Luke 22 was the end of book , when we depend on the things of this world to do the Father's will. Take a look at Acts 3 again, as Jesus tells us before He returns there will be no man made buildings. We will have to depend only on Jesus and be as in Luke 22:35. Watch , pray and be ready with only Who is in our hearts and minds to survive ,was always the message. They needed nothing before Jesus went to the Cross. There is nothing that can help or save us in the great tribulation , except what they used in Acts 3:6...Jesus is very clear let the enemy have the land, buildings , gold , silver , oil and money.

“ Luke 6:24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation. 25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep. 26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. 27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.
30Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.”

Look at all the nations fighting for territory and things. What amazing signs we are being shown. satan was very clever to convince any person or nation fight for these little kingdoms. The Lord has sent reminders for a very long time this is not our home. Fight and live for the true word of God was all a person or church was to do. Jesus , Peter , Paul or the others never fought for anything this world wanted to take, was always the message.
