Nice verse. I prefer New Testament for most things. God is shown through Jesus to be total love which is the highest truth. I studied class in college the bible as literature. The KJV was used. It was more on who, the people that wrote the Bible and compared old and new testaments. Again not for religious purposes. Basically the major differences was the Old Testament had many gods, polytheism, many wifes. The New Testament has one god, monotheism, one wife etc. God is shown much more loving and forgiving in New Testament. Again just my opinion.

Matthew 3:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

See I’m no authority! The Bible is one book. I was referring to the different ones like Matthew, etc. You are correct. I’m not going to bring up again because I am very bad at expressing what I mean in words. Never been good at that or debating.

Anyhow my point is don’t stop. I like reading what you posts, learning, and thinking about. Thankful for you and all here! Went to Catholic school the nuns pretty much focused mostly on the gospels. Never knew much about revelations until college. Then read up on things myself. Still am reading. Still learning.

Oh to clarify GFG. I didn’t mean there were more than one true God. No there has always been just one. I meant many people in Old Testament worshipped many gods, wrongly. Part of why Jesus came to show people there is only one. See I asked God to clarify and he did. Well at least I hope he did. flower
