2 Thessalonians 1:6Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power.

“8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.” My heart hurt when I heard this today.

Hebrews 4:Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

The gospel is watered down so much few know what it really is. Few understand the consequences of not following it with faith , but Jesus said this would happen. “Fear of coming short,” we are told in a culture all about fun, easy and my way.

“Matthew 7:13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

We can hear the gospel and it not prophet us we are warned in Hebrews. We are in a time to pay attention to lies being revealed. Giant man made trees are falling pay attention. This is not a time for fun and games. I heard a commercial inviting people to a Christmas program. Fun was said at least four times. Every person on earth right now ,knows somebody that is going to see “flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,” for eternity. That should place the fear of God in every person today, except Jesus told us we would be all about fun and games...WATCH and pray is the call today, pay attention, satan is offering all kinds of distractions. Earth is a threshing floor and somebody we love is going to see “flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
