More dental problems. Prayers needed.
My schedule of dental surgeries has been revamped, as I have a bad infection in my lower jaw. The original plan was to get the top jaw finished, and then start on the bottom jaw. This infection is a game changer, and now I have surgery scheduled for the lower jaw on February 5th. The last 6 teeth will be pulled, and the surgeon is going to have to cut and scrape a lot of lower jawbone away, to clear up the infection. The infection is all up in the front where the 6 teeth are. I will get multiple bone grafts. The surgeon told me that this surgery is going to be a lot worse than the ones I have had previously. :( My lower jaw in the front looks absolutely horrid, and it doesn't feel too good, either. This is a nightmare. :(
Quoting: tiger1 So sorry to hear of this, Tiger, and you are definitely in my prayers for healing. And approaching successful surgery. One day all of this will be over. Quoting: Arnie If everything goes OK, in March I will get a temporary screwed in bridge on the top. In May the surgeon will put the posts and screws in the bottom. If it heals well, 4 months after this, I should get a temporary screwed in bridge for the bottom. In November, hopefully I will get the permanent bridge put in the top. The bottom will not be finished until next year. I have been going through this all since last July, and am almost halfway through. My mouth is such a mess, and the fact I am allergic to all pain meds and numbing agents means that I can only have it done a bit at a time, because of the pain. They knock me out for the surgery, but afterwards I am on my own with no pain relief. I have a high pain tolerance, but I am not Superman. Quoting: tiger1 Ow, Tiger....Prayers for you in this.
