3rd Word

Philemon 1:15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord? 17 If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

Mark 14:27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. 28 But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee. 29 But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I. 30 And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.

Judges 6:36 And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said, 37 Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.


Paul was taught when he was Saul without the Holy Spirit of God. Peter was taught by Jesus in human form. Not till the Holy Spirit came , were they able to endure and not be afraid of man and not deny the Lord. Gideon knew there was only One God to make dew happen as he requested. There had been a good amount of time pass , since the Spirit of God had been around in the days of human Judges. If children are not taught God the Father , Jesus Christ The Savior and the Holy Spirit from youth , we end up in a land of Sauls or Peter before the Cross.

“John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

We are in a time of human judges and teachers and we trust the knowledge of humans over the Holy Spirit of God as Peter did. Lord help us, we are Peters before the Cross ,wanting a human form to teach and help us...

“John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

If we are truly reborn of the Spirit, conviction comes when we sin. Saul was not convicted , it is time to do a Spirit check...The Word tells us what sin is from the beginning . If we have no conviction in disobeying the Commandments of the Lord , we are in grave, eternal danger. Time to turn from being Saul to Pauls...
