I am in a real bad dilemma here. The social worker called today. Roy has been behaving himself in the psychiatric hospital. They want to discharge him next week Friday, June 5th. My youngest daughter and I talked with him on the phone today. Roy was saying total nonsense. First he said he saw Jesus, then he said he WAS Jesus ! After he talked to my daughter, I got back on the phone. He wanted me to come there and get him, which I can't. He got mad and set the phone down.

I am absolutely terrified for him to come home. I truly believe he is just behaving himself to get out of there. I know his mental capacity is probably 90% gone, but what is left is a dangerous, highly intelligent wild animal that can snap in a second, with no provocation, endangering us all.

I hate to put it that way, but I have to be brutally honest with myself, as I still have a reminder of the mark on my head from when I hit the corner of my dining room table a week ago.

IF they could guarantee me that he is not dangerous, I would take him back home, as he should be home. The incident a week ago was the third time I was physically attacked within a month, and the worst I got injured.

The social worker is going to talk to Roy's primary doctor. We will see what happens.
