Female passenger on British Airways flight from Heathrow to Boston is restrained after trying to force open exit door

A female passenger on a British Airways flight from Heathrow, London, to Boston, Massachusetts, was restrained this evening after trying to force open an exit door mid-journey, police have said.

The plane, believed to be Flight 213 from London, landed safely in Massachusetts at around 6.30pm GMT today following the incident, officials said.

It is currently unclear why the woman attempted to open the door, nor how she was prevented from doing so.
