Also take a moment to think of the less fortunate, and make a point of "passing it forward". Wishing you all the best this holiday season had to offer! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70900789 United States 11/26/2015 01:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I give thanks for much today. I give thanks more than anything to the Spirit** that guides me even as that which conspires against It, me, mine, you, yours, ours increasingly flails and fails in it's attempts to thwart that Spirit and it's essence Love. It tried to block this communication. It momentarily succeeded. Momentarily. I shant give up in the face of the desperate obstruction to Love. I grow stronger with each obstacle. I encourage all of us to do the same. Love and joy in the face of hate. Love and joy in the face of anger. Love and joy in the face of frustration. Love in the face of bureaucratic banality. Love is the answer as the cheesy*** 70s song told. I give Thanks! to that simple knowledge. **Remember, Jesus wasn't a Christian, nor was Buddha, a Buddhist. I speak of behavior and practice not worship. How I worship might not be your cup of tea, great! We can all practice LOVE together. ***Is it so cheesy? |

The spelling teacher I had is jewish and she wanted to share a piece of her traditions with the class. The onions made us all teary, but the taste was worth it. It's honestly my overall favorite memory from all my years in school. I wish I could have a taste of those same latkas again. Somehow the attitude of gratitude opens new pathways in your heart toward others. Though I might not be bouncing my grandchildren on my knee until next Thanksgiving, I do look forward to this day and in keeping with the spirit of the season, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ONE AND ALL!! |

I notice most of the so-called Black friday deals are "meh". Doesn't seem to be anything that "stands out". Wal-Mart has a cheap 50 inch but that's about it. Looks like I'll be staying home tomorrow night. |

Now all there is is common sense saying " you really want to take the chance that a terror attack or BLM cramp won't happen where you are shopping for merchandise that is marked up so high that a so called sale looks almost good?" Anonymous Coward User ID: 61684112 United States 11/26/2015 02:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | On this thanksgiving I'm thankful for still being alive. Last year I could have died from alcohol withdrawal. Longest month of my life, and literally didn't sleep for days at a time. My heart was pounding so hard and my blood pressure was dangerously high. Could have had a stroke or simply died in my sleep. I had no money or insurance at the time. It was a very dark time for me. Thankfully nothing happened and I'm still here. On this thanksgiving I want to remind everyone of the dangers and corrupting power of alcohol, it is VERY dangerous and you are playing with fire. Keep it to light use.... if you are depressed, stressed out, lonely, or all of the above as I was I urge you to look into safer alternatives. Don't cross that line! Stay safe, stay alive! Much love! |
