I heard some guy call into NPR with his story on how Muslims view Detroit. He worked as an interpreter and said that even the sand people from the east are terrified of Detroit.

The blacks may behave badly but they certainly know how to pull together as a community.

Probably because most people in Detroit are just trying to survive. The crime committed here is almost always done by the young ones with fatherless childhoods. The majority are actually good people if you can look past their culture. I speak from firsthand experience, been working in section 8 for years.
