The Cat in the Hat
The Cat in the Hat is a children's book written and illustrated by Theodor Geisel under the pen name Dr. Seuss and first published in 1957. The story centers on a tall anthropomorphic cat, who wears a red and white-striped hat and a red bow tie. The Cat shows up at the house of Sally and her unnamed brother one rainy day when their mother is away. Ignoring repeated objections from the children's fish, the Cat shows the children a few of his tricks in an attempt to entertain them. In the process he and his companions, Thing One and Thing Two, wreck the house. The children and the fish become more and more alarmed until the Cat produces a machine that he uses to clean everything up. He then says his goodbyes and disappears just before the children's mother walks in.

I'll take a stab at this...


Cats are sort of messengers between worlds, right? That's how the Egyptians saw them. I think we as humans see ourselves in cats sometimes because they can be independent and irritable or loving and lovable. And on the internet, we want to show different facades of ourselves, we want to signal about who we are. We don't tend to show our weak or vulnerable selves, same as a cat.

I think the internet loves to find the secret side of familiar things, and cats are one of those familiar things we often see which has an adorable, relatable, secret and funny face. We aren't sure if cats really love us or hate us, just as we don't really know whether most other people do.

I don't know. Lol. It is a commonly known and often parodied fact that the internet loves cats. I think I'd have an easier time buying "the internet is merely a sentient egregore which has chosen cats as its figurehead"

I have never listened to Ja Rule..so I have no frame of reference. I thought Chappelle was talking about that guy that wore that giant clock. I didn't listen to him either. But for some reason..that who was in my head.


My day is pretty good so far. Full of Lolz and interesting syncs.

Bit of extremism on both sides. A bit like that rally last Fall, that put together groups of opposing factions. There were visible snipers on the taller buildings around Market. Nothing happened.


With that said, I think there is a time and a place to properly do anything.

There is also improper timing/place. Why is it illegal to yell 'Fire' in a crowded movie theater?


People have turned mockery into a sport.

Sad.

It is suddenly chancing on things like this that give me reason to think the Internet is a sentient being.

I disagree. She's made a slew of inflammatory interviews just to fuck with people she doesn't like, one of which was her pestering a five-year-old child about whether abortion constitutes murder. I'm very glad they ousted her from their campus; I would've.

Ew that looks terrifying. I don't like ham. And that cheese looks like velveeta goop. Do not want. If you want to watch odd foods from past, present, and times of famine/hard times this is a good channel.

We used to buy this stuff by the bottle it's like a super fruit and loaded with vit c and she explains some of it but yeah I would not have drank the juice because of the mold growing on one of the fruits. No way.

Not sure how legit this is..but one of the creepier things I've seen yet.

I have not accepted that the rumors regarding Chinese pets is real..and I'm not going to watch any animal being beaten to death, for any reason.

Be extra careful what you watch and allow in your head while we are all moving through this. Many videos are fakes.


I saw the 3 babies in the body bag..but thought it was a form of respect keeping them together. The man standing there, was very gentle and pulled the shirt down to cover the older kid's belly. That is a sign of respect.

I also heard it was from carbon monoxide poisoning, not the virus. It's wise not to jump to conclusions. One dog beating video, does not a people make.

I'm sure there are countless pet owners in China that love their dogs as much as we do. That doesn't mean there aren't shitty people doing shitty things.

Those people are everywhere.


The dragon in the street and the crows they have filmed in the sky are 2 very ominous signs for me. I'm still hoping the dragon vid will come up as unrelated to this event.
