it's obvious that dfw internalized his mother's self loathing as a failure. a failure that became a self fulfilling prophecy. surprised you like him so much seer, seeing that dfw was a renown misogynist! you usually rail against people like him. what's the unresolved conflict here? lol

I think he saw through the veil. It wasn't difficult see. Just to verbalize in a meaningful manner..that could reach the most people.


He probably always knew he would suicide..so kept people at arm's length..especially those he knew it would hurt most(spouse) and he chose a very particular moment to do it.

I know exactly what began to spiral out of control..when he did.
