He revealed on June 30 that he had been hospitalized with the virus and pneumonia and posted several photos of himself on a breathing machine.

In the days prior to his death, Harmon had been posting about how he was 'on max oxygen', 'struggling to function' and questioning whether he should go on a ventilator.

'Please pray y'all, they really want to intubate me and put me on a ventilator. even the slightest movements and my heart rate skyrockets and oxygen dependency increases. and please, I'm not asking for anyone's opinion on intubation, I'll make my own choice, I'm asking for prayer,' he said.

He followed up with: 'If you don't have faith that God can heal me over your stupid ventilator then keep the Hell out of my ICU room, there's no room in here for fear or lack of faith!' #ThingsIAmAboutToScream.'

His tragic final tweet, which was posted on Wednesday, revealed that he had decided to be intubated.

'I'm choosing to going under intubation, I've fought this thing as hard as I can but unfortunately it's reached a point of critical choice & as much as I hate having to do this I'd rather it be willingness than forced emergency procedure. Don't know when I'll wake up, please pray.'

Finishing up a bunch of new product for tomorrow.

It feels good to be back creating/selling again..and if one of the Covid variants shuts us down again..at least there will be a record that we were able to get back to it.

Oregon took good care of their artists in the between time. Not a single case of Covid was ever traced back to Market.

My art mojo has been drained and dried as have been for months or a long while now.

I've been doing a bit of diagramming, its decent and a bit of fun. But nowhere nearly much as art mojo when have it back.

I hadn't made anything business related in well over a year. I was uncertain Market would ever be back in full capacity and we already had so much backstock there wasn't much to do in that regard. Just wait and see.


Picked it back up like riding a bike. When you've hand crafted something 1000s of times, you don't forget how.

Inventing new things is where it is at. That and watching people's faces when they fall with in love with it. It feels nice when people enjoy your work and keep coming back to show and tell you.

Dune novel - TBH, I forgot much of what I read it. For some reason the David Lynch's Dune overtook my memory instead of the original Dune novel.

I still have a collection of Dune novels somewhere in basement. Not sure if I will come back and read some of it, depending on my interest / motivation to do so. Was gonna give it away to someone, but that didn't happen.

One of my roommates in college was a huge Sci-fi fan and turned me on to Dune and Logan's Run and such. That was when I was first starting my aquaria hobby and he took to that as well. Last I talked to him, he had been working in and planning opening an aquaria store. Not sure if that happened for him or not.

I still like to watch Dune and Logan's Run at least once a year.

“Study Drug” Abuse by College Students: What You Need to Know

Approximately 2.5 million Americans are prescribed prescription stimulants such as Adderall or Ritalin to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ADHD is a brain disorder that makes it difficult to concentrate and increases impulsive behavior. Prescription stimulants help to reduce these symptoms. However, many people use these drugs for non-medical purposes and without a prescription, especially college students who buy them from a friend with a prescription.

The use of drugs like Adderall and other so-called “study drugs” has skyrocketed over the past two decades. One reason is that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a version of the drug, Adderall XR, which lasts much longer than other prescription stimulants. Another reason is that more young Americans are diagnosed with ADHD and this results in more prescriptions. In fact, over the past decade, the manufacturing of prescription stimulants has increased by a whopping 9 million percent!

How many of these pills are used to treat ADHD? A study of more than 10,000 college students from across the country found that more than half of students with an Adderall or other ADHD drug prescription were asked to sell the medication to peers and friends. Almost every student who abuses these drugs in college gets the drug from a friend or classmate with ADHD.

One study of students at Bates College, a small Maine liberal arts college, found that one in every three students had abused Adderall at some point. In contrast, a national study of 10,000 students found that approximately 7% had abused “study drugs,” although the percentage varied at different colleges. Lmao my college years in a nutshell when trying to study.

Afternoon, Seer.

"Philosophy on Determinism and In-Determinism?", a diagram by myself.

On the diagram, there are three different configurations of philosophy on determinism and in-determinism; determinism, in-determinism, and both.

I'm a bit struck on the 'both' part; is there such as how do two incompatible concepts meet at a focal point and be resolved or converted into either determinism or in-determinism? That is what I'm trying to think about and / or want to know the answer to. In past, I mentioned adaptive semi-determinism (or ASD) which was my attempt to answer that.

Unfortunately, the ASD was mixed up and confusing even to me even to this day. I already made a thread, "Ghost Mechanism", on here and elsewhere. It is starting to look quite different from determinism and in-determinism thing, it is more related to natural mechanism of things (how things grow, age, decay, etc). Kinda obviously different from philosophy.

Anyway, I just thought you might be interested in checking out the diagram. I welcome any feedback suggestion or something like that.

Maybe try to see it like the two lobes of the brain competing to resolve cognitive dissonance, when holding two competing concepts.

Determinism makes me feel boxed in and subject to an unchanging environment. Like watching/playing out a movie or script. Last time I was caught up in it, I watched a bunch of these videos. Recommend.

Having never taken Ritalin or Adderall, these videos give me a window into what it is like.

I never used a stimulant more powerful than coffee for studying..nor ever considered buying a study stimulant. Never pulled all-nighters, nor did I ever cheat on tests or otherwise. I was also not an A student in college and found it mostly boring, with forced curriculum that was more tedium than instructive or enlightening.

My anthropology classes were probably the most interesting of the bunch.
