Re: Mad World
Alright, I'll stop.

I have a tendency to put together something that sometime I thought could be fun and cool, mainly happened due to my boredom with myself sometime.

Maybe sometime the put together stuff may be connected to past that seemingly recycles from time to time whenever I bring it up whether I'm aware or not.

I'm stopping thinking / feeling about past and future, then gonna try live in the now moment.

Have a good afternoon, all.

I think it is interesting that is how you see me.

What is that contraption on her head? I would hate that.

Got back from playing a game.

The 1st post with a link to art picture had a Bene Gesserit woman without anything on her head, just beautiful short-to-medium hair shaped and dressed like royal with some armoured uniform on. (this is primarily how I see you - disciplined)

Then 2nd post with a different art picture, is close approximation but though the thing (contraption) on her head is not.

Could use one of those myself haha.

Warming up like a son of a bitch here, I see many beach days ahead.

It is cold. Very. Also dangerous. Most here view the ocean from the beach.

Even getting too close can see it sweep away whole families.

It happens every year.

Usually happens during King Tide and tourists being careless. A guy lost both his kids last year. It was sad.

Some people love to swim in freezing water. I'm not one of them and can tolerate up to about mid-calf for a minute or two.

It's achingly cold shortly after stepping in.

But beautiful from a distance.

Re: Mad World
Growing up in and near Lithia Park was nothing short of magical.

One of my first memories occurs right at the beginning of this video..My mom took me to the park around 2. It was frozen over the swan pond and I watched her step out on to a stone in the water.

I followed her and plunged through the thin ice. She grabbed my arm just as I was about to go under. I still remember the look on her face, as she was fussing with me in the car to get the wet clothes off me, while I cried..

Weird the stuff that stays with us.

I think that might be one of my first traumatic memories.

Maybe that is why I've always avoided it and see cold water as pain.

Just kinda realized.

Re: Mad World
She stepped out to take a photograph of the enchanting beauty of the Lithia Park swan pond frozen over, and turned her back on me, is how I remember it.

I was too young to realize the ice wasn't a solid platform and followed her out. I was wearing a pink puffy coat.

She took a lot of beautiful photographs during those years..often of me. Maybe that is also where my difficult relationship with photographs lies.

Food for though.

Have you ever been to Lithia Park?

Grew up in that park..In many ways.

Some of my best memories are there. I also was there to watch it devastated by a flood..and then see it rebuilt.

Lithia Park is just over the border of California, to Oregon.

Lithia Park is worth your time to experience. It's enormous and there are numerous features spread over the park.

I recall when Dion was talking about Wim Hof.

I did something similar but, not with water.

I had a lady come up to me randomly once some years back and talk about how freezing showers 'saved her'.

Isn't that true of everyone?

I was trying to survive with the tools I had. Which weren't many at the time but enough to get me through.

Like I told another earlier..People like to play with fire until they get burned real bad. Usually they discover where the line is and keep the scar or die from their burns eventually..

Psychological/Spiritual/Emotional burns are invisible from the outside. Often even to ourselves.

It is easy to become consumed by the rage and desire for vengeance.
