Never seen High Plains Drifter. Haven't seen most Westerns and very few 80s movies that weren't child/family friendly.

Never watched any of the Rambos or Rocky movies. Never seen any of the Halloweens and really anything in that genre.


There's a lot I haven't seen. I watch the same movies over and over because I derive comfort knowing what it going to happen.

UPDATE: According to a prop masters union spokesperson, the gun that shot and killed a cinematographer and injured a director on the set of Alec Baldwin’s film Rust contained a live bullet.

Recalls of the magician and their use of perspective and mirrors to fool the eye.

Once you know how the trick is pulled off..it loses its power on the observer.

The dopamine driven feedback loop is a bit like the magician. Once you pull back the curtain..the 'wizard' is exposed.

One thing that becomes glaringly obvious watching 'Why you can't stop Clicking' or The Social Dilemma..is that those who designed the algorithms behind, Google, FB, Instagram..and the like..feel great remorse for what they have unleashed on an accepting and ignorant public.

They have gained their promised pleasure(Heaven) in the form of $$$$$$.

More than they could ever spend.

But as most find out money doesn't buy happiness. Only the illusion of and is inherently hollow. Consumerism is an addiction to feeding your 'I want' monster.

Once that hit of dopamine hits your brain..you're still looking for the next fix..

The Business of America is Business Edition

Many people have likely heard a quote attributed to President Calvin Coolidge, “The business of America is business,” but this is a misquote. The real quote is a little bit different and the context in which it was said is not likely what most would expect.

The actual quote wasn’t necessarily a simple, catchy line. It wasn’t in a Big Business Speech or an answer to a business related question.

It was spoken during an address President Calvin Coolidge gave to the American Society of Newspaper Editors in Washington, D.C. on January 17, 1925. Given that the speech was before a news trade group, Coolidge was talking about the role of the press in a modern, democratic America and included warnings about the evils of propaganda. But more specifically, he was talking the role of the press in free-market America. After speaking for a bit he eventually said:


"After all, the chief business of the American people is business. They are profoundly concerned with producing, buying, selling, investing and prospering in the world."

While the quotes themselves may differ, for many, the sentiment behind both may not differ all that much.
