Re: Mad World
One thing that repeatedly impressed me about Kid's Baking Championship, was how well the kids did under pressure, and how inventive they were.

Very talented and inspiring to know that kids as young as 8 or 9 are capable of producing professional quality confections.

They do a pretty good job at the dentist´s office with the teeth whitening. Chemicals and lights.

I have not done it but it´s there. A bit expensive, but effective.

Finding things to do keep myself busy or my mind occupied, takes up all the space between unconsciousness.

Headed back to the beach here in a few days. We had to come back to get our puppy spayed.

She is recuperating well. Back to her frisky, humping self.

They have a powerful device at the dentist. And it´s quick.ish.

Two? Three? hundred euros?

Eating minerals helps build the bone from the inside thru the bloodflow. Like calsium, magnesium, iodine, vit D3 and C and etc to help to process.

Wonders have happened since quitting smoking (nicotine CONSTRICTS the bloodvessels) and eating a bit better.

cheers

Oooh, so it's called a poke cake because the sauces drip through the holes...?
Do they have a drool emoji? Maybe I'll take up baking.
But I'd get fat

The sauce and the blueberries. You push them down through the holes. I didn't have a wooden spoon with a round handles so I improvised with something else and it worked pretty well.

My first lemon curd turned out perfect, I was very pleased.

Did you start the Kid's Baking Championship?

You'd be surprised how thin a lot of them are. Just because you bake a lot doesn't mean you have to get fat. Coffee doesn't really stain your teeth if you brush twice a day. Way less than cigarettes.
 Quoting: Seer777

Thanks mom chuckle

Kids Baking Championship is on discovery right?

I just signed up for the free trial :)
So I will watch it tonight.
Kinda looking forward to it

Anyone doing anything about Friday the 13th?

Discovery+ yeah. I can't recall which show it was I saw Duff Goldman on first(judging) and then found Kid's baking Championship. I was curious how everyone seemed to know who he is, and then I found Ace of Cakes. It has been fun watching him progress but backward. I started at the his most recent stuff.

I can definitely see how the foundation of what he would eventually become pretty early in Ace of Cakes. Benefit of completely shunning all cable Tv for over a decade is everything is new to me. No commercial either.

Duff is my generation, just a few years older. He reminds me of me and my friends back before they all had kids.

I tried to find the Ace of Cakes intro but came up empty.

It's very 2007.

Above all, don't lie to yourself.

The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.

More of a nod to SS. It was his story that popped into my mind when a fully unassisted image blasted across my consciousness just as I was about to drift off to sleep, while fully entangled like I am every night before sleep.

Amazing how similar his story is to what I’ve described over the years.. yes?

But you don’t believe in any of that anyway..so what the point?
