...[imgur] [ link to i.imgur.com (secure)] The trolling lately has been getting difficult to move through. Makes for a hostile environment and that isn’t my intention. Probably for the best. I went to the factory stores earlier. I had my first boba tea and mochi candy. Quoting: Seer777 I was obsessed with Kiki's delivery service as a kid. I've always appreciated how Japan culturally treats the idea of magick and entities. They don't have the same history as the western world with the idea of satanism - their "devils" are not evil, they are just hostile/dangerous. And magick isn't evil to them - never has been. So they write stories with different undertones to them. Studio Ghibli I think is a very safe and healthy introduction simply to the idea that magic can imply wonder instead of demonic evil. I think this idea of demonic evil and the extremist attitude that comes with it...is not dissimilar to the way the entire country right now is being pitted against each other. One side is good, one side is evil. There is no grey. It is the inheritance of a highly Manichean, dualistic, extremist world. Of course - Japan DEFINATELY has its own issues. The youth suicide rates are the highest in the world. But, as far as their problems go...spirituality and witch burning isn't one of them. Your first boba tea and mochi! Did you enjoy it? I absolutely love boba. Mochi, is my favorite when frozen, with a bit of ice cream. Really a treat I did yeah. I asked the girl for the basic boba milk tea she had. She said it wasn’t even on the menu anymore. All fruit flavors. Do you get the black boba or the fruity bursting ones? I’m trying that next. I’m on the hunt for new things I can add to my day, now that I’ve stopped drinking alcohol. The mochi came in a bag and individually wrapped. The ones I saw on YouTube look a lot bigger and multilayered. The texture is super weird..like a strawberry flavored earlobe. After the second one..it grew on me. Look like these ones kinda. [ link to youtu.be (secure)] I am more of a fan of the mochi ice cream than the mochi candies, but both have their merits in my opinion. I got a boba at this coffee shop two days ago when I went out with my sister...she told me the chewy tapioca balls just do not work for her at all. I love them, but I definitely get how texture sensitive people might not be into it. The bursting bobas are also good. You know what they are best in, in my opinion? Yogurt Ice cream  what a word dropper! you really have no control! lol
