Sure.
If someone is bashing on the door making a big show of force and attempting to break in, why not add layers to that door?
Say, something that reflects their force back at them, or pricks them so over time it becomes detrimental to continue, or even [tags] them to track and keep tabs on.

I assume you're familiar with shielding oneself, but even the strongest shields can be shattered or gaps found. There's various other 'layers' you could include, such as mirrors, or a quicksand/swampy type 'slowing' layer. You're only limited by what you can imagine and can be restricted to innocent defensive systems or be quite insidious in luring, baiting and triggering of traps.

You could also go the 'poppet' route, a sort of false you, in fantasy game terms a 'mirror image', to take the hits.

Ganesha

Ganesha is known as the remover of obstacles and the offspring of Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction and his consort the goddess Parvathi. Several myths detail his birth and acquisition of the elephant head. These myths vary by region, tradition, and sect.

One day, Parvathi goes to bathe, asking her son to stand guard. While she bathes, Shiva returns only to be prevented entry by the young son he had yet to meet. Angered, he cut off his head and went to find Parvathi. Soon realizing what he had done, Shiva searched for the first being he could find, an elephant, and placed that head on the boy, naming him “Ganesha” or “lord of the elephants.” He then decreed that he would be the remover of obstacles, always worshipped first in any ritual.

Ganesha is also seen as the patron saint of the arts.

Regarding their tantra they develop special habilities and powers by emulating Lord Shiva's austerities by working specially Vishuddhi Chakra and Ajia Chakra and a total tolerance against pain and sorrow, so they engage them selves in non pure contact and sin too. The Yellow Toothed Elephant is originally the white elephant of the bodhisattva Samantabhadra. At one point, he somehow escaped to the mortal realm and became a demon in the Lion Camel Ridge, ruled it alongside the Azure Lion Demon and the Golden Winged Great Peng. Any human who was passing by the mountain would be captured and eaten by them...

After escaping , the elephant came after the two again . However , Wukong defeated him after Shoving his staff up the elephants nose , causing him tremendous amounts of pains , after the Elephant was defeated all three demon kings were forced by wukong to bring Sanzang's group pass the mountain , which they forcibly accepted. Unfortunately, the Golden Winged Great Peng, the most intelligent of the three demon kings, set up a plan to capture Sanzang's group, which he succeeded. Despite numberous attempt to rescue the group, Wukong failed and eventually resorted to the help from the deities. Ultimately, the Yellow Toothed Elephant is eventually subdued and taken back by Samantabhadra, and the Azure Lion and Peng were defeated as well.

I'm 13 minutes in and while I do attempt to practice tolerance, this is the look on my face through much of the video so far.

I'm not sure I can explain this sufficiently.
With such shielding, blocking, or otherwise mechanisms I'm typically trying to align my own state with what I am 'cool with' and the shielding 'frequency' is sort of an extension of that. So, whilst I'm not visualizing a set vibrational rate I am instilling it with by building it from 'self'.

There's a few examples in media and science of such a thing, there's an episode of stargate where there are force field barriers that they cannot pass through unless moving very fast and are able to 'see' the gaps.

Consider to wave forms coming together that are not in alignment, say in music. It 'sounds' wrong.

It's abrasive by feel, you don't even need to analyze it, it just feels "off".

We can get more technical and have layers at different frequency and vibrational rates, say an outer "shell" that is similar to that jagged one whilst you're layers deep closer to the first, calmer wave. Mind you some folks will encounter that and feel you're abrasive to them.

It's also worth mentioning that there are those out there that will seek to mirror, mimic and align to you simply to get closer. Psychologically we might consider these the sociopath, the covert narcissist. It can be interesting or useful to allow these types to do exactly that, knowing that you've got a little something in store for when they think they've reached "core access" and try to hurt you.

I hope some of that makes sense, I'm just spamming it out in attempt to explain what is largely, for me, intuitive and by feel.

I should mention there is a scenario where someone has a hard, spiky outer shell, that has been developed due to abuse or continued harm and everything they interact with gets filtered through that and so the world becomes interpreted as. As though their protective layer is affecting the frequency of incoming energy and causing it to be seen as a threat, though the actual cause is their own energetic/psychological shielding.

The shield in that 'diagram' is causing the frequency to be changed, so by the time it is felt it seems quite a bit jagged and harsh.

So to answer your question...
I suggest constructing your layers in such a way as to vibe with yourself and if you do put some hard outer layers in, when encountering abrasive frequency, take the time to feel it out. There is always a chance your extra-strong defenses are modulating the energy in to a state that is worse than it actually is.
Then again, some energy is quite obvious :)
