Fort Mims massacre

The Fort Mims massacre is cited in Margaret Mitchell's epic novel Gone with the Wind. In the book, a minor character, Grandma Fontaine shares her memories of seeing her entire family murdered in the Creek uprising following the massacre as a lesson to the protagonist, Scarlett.

She explains that a woman should never experience the worst that can happen to her, for then she can never experience fear again.

Something I've noticed watching these History Channel docu-series..is much of what we take for granted in both name brands and history came to a point where at the very moment to brand/battle was almost lost, something happens which is so completely unlikely but sets them up for success.

In regard to Daniel Boone and his fort..after 9 days of holding off the British led native peoples, the fort was nearly lost after many fire arrows were shot into the fort.

Almost miraculously..the rain started and put out the fire..giving the people inside the ability to hold the fort.

If the fort had fallen..America might look very different.

This happens a lot..almost like there is some divine design to all this.

In the vein of divine design..one can't help but wonder how Tecumseh predicted that earthquake and where that eventually led. Does 'God' play both sides against the middle?

hmm

Tecumseh
Tecumseh(1768 – October 5, 1813) was a Shawnee chief and warrior who promoted resistance to the expansion of the United States onto Native American lands.

A persuasive orator, Tecumseh traveled widely, forming a Native American confederacy and promoting intertribal unity. Even though his efforts to unite Native Americans ended with his death in the War of 1812, he became an iconic folk hero in American, Indigenous, and Canadian popular history.

Carson City is named for the famous frontiersman and scout Christopher "Kit" Carson. During his 1843-1844 expedition, John C. Fremont had named Carson City's nearby river for Kit Carson, Fremont's scout.

1811–1812 New Madrid earthquakes

The 1811–1812 New Madrid earthquakes were a series of intense intraplate earthquakes beginning with an initial earthquake of moment magnitude 7.2–8.2 on December 16, 1811, followed by a moment magnitude 7.4 aftershock on the same day.

Two additional earthquakes of similar magnitude followed in January and February 1812. They remain the most powerful earthquakes to hit the contiguous United States east of the Rocky Mountains in recorded history

Re: Mad World
Battle of Tallushatchee

Coffee's forces killed 186 warriors, as well as many women and children, while suffering only 5 dead and 41 wounded.

Writing about the event years later, Richard K. Call recalled:

"The next morning after our march we entered the Indian village, and here I first saw the carnage of the battle field.

I saw it in its worst aspect – when the hour of danger had passed, when I could excite no feeling or passion in my breast, to control my sympathy and sorrow for human suffering. It was to me a horrible and revolting scene – the battle had ended in the village, the warriors fighting in their board houses, which gave little protection against the rifle bullets or musket ball.

They fought in the midst of their wives and children, who frequently shared their bloody fate. They fought bravely to the last, none asking or receiving quarter, nor did resistance cease until the last warrior had fallen. Humanity might well have wept over the gory scene before us.

We found as many as eight or ten dead bodies in a single cabin, sometimes the dead mother clasped the dead child to her breast, and to add another appalling horror to the bloody catalogue – some of the cabins had taken fire, and half consumed human bodies were seen amidst the smoking ruins. In other instances dogs had torn and feasted on the mangled bodies of their masters. Heartsick I turned from the revolting scene.

Very different seems the picture in the cool moment of inaction than in the excitement of battle – in the one – passion, the desire to triumph, and vengeance make demons, in the other as the brain becomes more composed, the pulse to beat less quickly, the heart resumes its sway – and it would be a relief to shed tears over the carnage around us –

I remember an instant of a brave young soldier, who after fighting like a tiger until the engagement was over, fainted at the sight of the blood he had helped to spill.

Steps to being a Trump supporter:

1. Be absolutely obsessed and consumed with what other people do with their genitals.

2. Spend day after day, posting threads about transgenders, gays and women and how awful they are.

3. Be a bigot

4. Be a Racist

5. Be a Christian nationalist

6. Be willing to murder people you've never met because of your belief system

7. Demean, dehumanize, demonize, degrade anyone or thing that moves 1 degree away from these ideals.

I have an ignore list with well over 300 members whose views I don't care to see at all.

I ignore it on purpose because it's all hateful rhetoric created for a single purpose..to divide America and then conquer it.

Having recently watched the docu-series the Men Who Built America, Frontiers..I found out this was a very common British tactic to use natives against each other and then kill the winning side and take over.

I'm an American first and anyone that calls to dissolve the American Union is an enemy.

I watched One Child Nation last night and was shocked at what I learned. Due to the strict nature of One child policy babies were born alive and then killed. One lady said she has executed(she used that word) 10,000 babies. One woman in one village.

Forced sterilizations and abortions were the norm. They said women were treated like pigs..held down and sterilized.

Have more than one child? Your house was demolished.

People left their infants in markets hoping someone would take and care for it..instead were left to rot.

Basket after basket of abandoned dying babies lined the roads in the 1990s.

Millions and millions of them.

One man said it best, when he was photographing the bodies of babies in trash bags, that one of the infants was smiling. He surmised that it was smiling because it had escaped life in China.
