App Store redirects. GLP unusable on iPhone

Hav been browsing on iphone for a while now. No issues.

You need to reg an account, then you wouldn't have these issues. It's free give 'er a try

I do have a registered account and I have definitely been having the same "redirection" to the stupid App Store over and over in these last few days..... Really annoying!!! Any IT people out there have any advice? These aren't pop-ups, the redirection takes you straight to games at the App Store.

You would think GLP wouldn't like that specific kind of ad because it takes you away from the site. I had that same problem on my iphone...so I only come here on my laptop. I would actually be on the site even more were it not for that issue.

Yes I have had this problem several times. I am able to resolve it by going into internet settings on i phone and deleting history and saved web pages. Look at your cookies as well.

Turning off JavaScript on your phone will stop it but you'll have to do it every time and then remember to turn it back on when you're done so that other web pages work properly.

Yes lots of app store redirects and browser crashes on iphone. Switching off javascript helps but can't watch embedded videos or youtube links in threads until it's switched back on

I, too, was having this issue, not only from GLP, it's likely due to the fact that popups are causing this.

I tried going through the various 'settings' that Iphone has to minimize/prevent popups, to no avail.

I found that a free app called 'been choice' ad blocker (which was also pulled and then re-released) on the apple store, helps minimize popups/redirects. Some interesting reading on why Apple pulled and then re-released it too, seems it's cutting into ad revenue...

At any rate, good luck with it, it's been helpful for the iphone, but not ipad (app doesn't function on ipad yet, it seems).

GLP is strange too, not a paying member, once I respond to any post, it seems my ip address gets swept up into a ban, and it usually takes a week or more until it 'resets'. - Nothing to do with content posted, pretty sure the auto block software or whatever they use is far too sensitive or wide ranging.

Yes, this was a big problem for me until I updated my iPhone. It started happening about 2 weeks ago but immediately stopped upon my iOS upgrade.

Turn restrictions on, block the App Store from opening. Done.

At least they didn't curse at you for not having a paid account, like they did me in a thread by a similar name yesterday.

I have the same problem, its really bad, i get redirected almost every page.

The only way i figured how to stop it was to go into general settings and then restrictions and block all web sites accept GLP.
It doesnt completly block the redirect but it sure cuts it down to once or twice a day.

just in the past couple of days i get the page that my ip is banned, I figured it was because i was at work. After seeing this thread i tried to log in at home got the ban hammer here too, but i can log in just fine on my Ipad?????

Yes, I've been having this problem to the extent to which sometimes I have to fight just to get INTO my paid account so that it will stop.

Didn't work for me.

Had apps turned off prior to having the redirects. Still got them.

Almost completely unusable. Turn this stupid crap off mods!!!!
