At the great white throne judgement, all will be raised from the dead and given new bodies that are fit for their destinations. The far eastern concept of reincarnation, where one can become some other sort of being, like a bug or a snake, is hard to swallow for a Bible believer. What happens to one that takes the mark of the beast, and why use the term "beast", which generally refers to an animal? It is promised to the overcomers of one of the seven chuches of Revelation, that they will be made a pillar in the temple of God and go no more out of it. What about believers that do not overcome, and where would they go out to? There are many more questions related to scripture that could be asked. One thing is certain. Every day that you have been alive, you woke from the dead to a new day, a day that was the culmination of everything you did or failed to do the day before and the days before that. If you committed some crime, you might be on the run from the authorities, and whether you awoke with any memory of it or not, does not alter the fact that they seek you and to see to it that you are punished. If you did not buy milk, you awoke hungry and unable to eat that bowl of cereal. If you dropped out of school, you awoke to having to do manual labor and to having little in the way of income. You may have made stupid decisions and woke up homeless. The point is, every day of your life has been this same way, with you reaping what you sow, but there is no end to the speculation about tomorrow being radically different. |

Hebrews 9:27 King James Version (KJV) 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: It basically says the folowing. 27. And as it is appointed for men TO DIE ONCE and to be judged afterwards. Sorry but reincarnation is not biblical. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70959700 Germany 12/20/2015 11:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Old Testament passages that refute Reincarnation: Of such Old Testament characters as Adam, Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah and Lamech the Bible says "and all the days of" giving their name "were" giving their ages (Gen. 5:5, 8, 11, 14. 17, 20, 23, 27, 31). If all their days were a certain number, then they did not have any more. If Methuselah had some days after 969 years, then 969 years were not "all the days of' him; they were just part of his days. 2 Sam. 12:23 Of the child born to David and Bathsheba, David said when he died, "can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me." 2 Sam. 14:14 says "we must needs die, and are as water split on the ground. which cannot be gathered up again, neither doth God respect any person. Job 14:1-2 "Man that is born of woman is a few days, and, full of trouble. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down." Man has a "few days" not a New days" and then a "Few days" again. Dan. 12:2 of those that "sleep in the dust of the earth" Daniel said they shall "awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt Those that sleep will not awake to be reincarnated Eccl. 3:2 says there is a "time to be born, and a time to die;" not times to be born and times to die. 2 Kings 4:35-36 when the son of the Shunammite woman died, Elisha raised him, the same boy, back to life. He came back to life as himself, not as his uncle Or some friend. New Testament passages that refute Reincarnation: There are not only the above Old Testament Passages that disprove reincarnation, but some New Testament passages bear on the matter. Mk. 5:35-43 When Jesus raised this damsel from the dead, it was the dead damsel that &rose in the "me body she had when Jesus took her by the hand. She did not come back from the dead in another body. Luke 7:11-18 Jesus raised a young man from the dead. He sat up with the same body, It was not the young man as a relative that was resurrected. John 11:43-44 Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead and he came forth with his grave clothes on, thus the same body. Acts 9:36-43 When Peter raised Dorcas from the dead, she came forth in the same body she had. She was not reincarnated in another body. Acts 20:9-12 Eutychus was "taken up dead" and Paul said "his life is in him" and he was "alive." After his death he did not come back in another body of either man or beast. 2 Cor 6:1-10 Paul said we have "our earthly house" not houses and judgment will be according to what we have done "in this body," not in "these bodies." If man is reincarnated, he will not be judged for what he does in all of his bodies, just one. 2 Cor 5:6-8 Paul contrasts the choice "we" have as being "at home in the body" as "absent from the Lord" and "absent from the body" and "present with the Lord." In Phil. 1:21-24 he shows to be "in the flesh" is the opposite of being "with Christ." When absent from the body, Paul was not looking to be reincarnated in another body in a future life back here on earth. Heb. 9:27 In this plain passage we read "as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." One death and then judgment; not several deaths and more lives of reincarnation. 2 Tim. 4:1-8 Paul said when his departure took place he had a crown of righteousness waiting him, not another life in another body by reincarnation. John 16:13-15 Jesus said the Holy Spirit would guide the apostles into "all truth." They were not guided by the Spirit into teaching the doctrine of reincarnation. Therefore, reincarnation is not any part of "a truth." 2 Peter 1:3 Peter said "his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness." Reincarnation was not that which his divine power gave, thus, it does not pertain to life or godliness. 2 Cor 6:7 Paul said we walk by faith and Rom. 10:17 teaches faith comes by hearing the word of God. If there is no word of God for the doctrine of reincarnation, and there is not, then it can not be taught or believed by faith, Paul warns "beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, and after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ" (Col 2:8) |

The first is the one we are all experiencing right now. The next is the second death, aka the lake of fire. Why pick the term "second" to describe it, if nothing comes after it? This is not to say that the length of it is not extremely long, but a term like "final" could have been used. |

Quoting: cosmicgypsy Whether or not it's bred from well and fine intentions is another thing. Calling it satanic and a lie is, however, erroneous. Satanism is child's play next to what reincarnation is the way it is in this reality realm, and it's certainly not as simple as a liar's game. If it goes against the Bible teaching of the resurrection then it is satanic. The Bible is not as deep the depth of how low the lowly can go. It also will not raise one on high as one may be raised...outside this reality realm. That is your opinion which thankfully we are still entitled to. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1550123 United States 12/20/2015 11:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That is the resurrection which Jesus promises. The dead are dead according to the Bible because they are sleeping and awaiting the resurrection. There is no reincarnation. It is not needed when there will be a resurrection. So Jesus is creating a zombie army? :hidetomato: Haha! That would be Satan's resurrection if he could accomplish it. Anyway, just look to the Bible's examples when Jesus resurrected people. They came back as themselves(no reincarnation) and with their memories in tact. He said of the dead before he resurrected Lazarus that the dead are sleeping. So all our loved ones have the opportunity to be resurrected during Jesus' thousand year reign to regain perfection that Adam and Eve lost for us. So death is not final. Jesus can and will undo it all. |

Elijah was a man who was zealous in his service to God (2Ki 2:9, 15) John the Baptist demonstrated the same zeal that Elijah had shown, and this resulted in John’s having a powerful effect on his listeners therefore he could be said to have gone forth “with Elijah’s spirit and power.” (Lu 1:17) |

Yes, Satan has done whatever he can do to hide the truth from us. But with God's help we can know the truth and it is in the Bible. Even though it has been changed some, Satan cannot change it all. Those who truly seek the truth of the Bible will find it. God could not hold us accountable if the truth was unable to be found. Proverbs 3-6 3 indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord gives wisdom; |
