You're the anti-Christ actually.
You and you're kind are so very far from being Christian.

Why do you go to church again? To get laid or to be seen by others or some other shallow materialistic reason?

It was people like you who crucified Christ.

You do realize that Mary and Joseph were refugees when Mary was pregnant with God right?

right?

Careful now. YOU are treading.

Once a church becomes a 501C3 or tax exempt they have to follow the agenda handed down from the admin.
 Quoting: Sanibel

Some don't.

501 status did not stop these Churches from not complying.

As part of the "Christmas" offering they are asking for money to go to three causes. The second cause I would support because it is local and affects my community. The third cause however made me almost puke as they presented it this morning.

They had the founder of a non profit group speak about the Syrian crisis and how our church wants to help support this cause. They played pictures on the big screens of children, women crying holding dirty, hurt children, towns in total rubble, etc. They even talked about the story of the 3 year old boy who washed up on a shore dead. Yes, this story was debunked here on GLP and if memory serves me found that Alnon (or whatever the kids name was), was actually killed by his father and it was a propaganda shoot or something like that.

During the slide show questions and statements flooded the pictures shown like "Jesus was a refugee", "there was no room at the Inn when Jesus was born, don't be an inn keeper", etc. I literally almost vomited and had to control my emotions cause my soul was SCREAMING inside. I seriously almost stood up and started screaming about how blind our church leaders were being. My husband had to grab my wrist to stop me from blurting out obscenities.

Our pastor asked this man who is helping these "refugees" how we can know they are "safe". His response was that in all the history of refugees coming from syria starting in the 80's that NONE have committed acts of terrorism. He went on to say that many are Christians and the ones who are muslim have been visiting area churches wanting to know more about "Christianity".

I wanted to scream WAKE THE F%^$ UP!!!!! It's a sham! The refugees who are coming in are NOT Christian and they are NOT families. i'd venture that over 98% are young fighting age males. The numbers this man shared about how many have already come into California blew my mind. He said OVER 35,000 have already moved into Southern California this year ALONE!!!

I hate to say it but we are on the verge of being F%&^ed in the arse. Today totally blindsided me because my church has never supported a cause like this or gotten involved in something so controversial. The mood in the congregation changed, people were visibly uncomfortable. The man from the agency spoke about ISIS and their vetting process. He tried to reassure over 1000 people that their vetting process works.

I call BULLSHIT....Better yet I call PIG SHIT! I am SO totally sick over this I likely won't go back to my church. I am just totally blown away. People need to wake the frick up. These are NOT our friends. These are NOT people we can trust. There is NO vetting process that works. It's been proven and even reported in the media that our vetting process DOESN:T work.

As a Christian, I get it, we are suppose to help others. HOWEVER, I will NOT sacrifice my families safety for this cause. Jesus doesn't want us to welcome the enemy.

I gotta take my daughter to a birthday party so i'll be offline for awhile but wanted to vent and share this. Thanks for listening to my rant. XOXO

Wow way to be like Jesus Christian.! Everything you speak of in your post crys of fear, something Jesus himself preached against. Jesus welcomed his enemy's, if I recall he healed one of his enemy's after Peter cut off his ear. You know, he healed the one of the guys who sent to capture him so that he may be crusified. But let's forget all of those things right Christian?

I agree with the previous poster who said,

take care of your homeless people first,

charity begins at home,

giving money to charities is not a good deal,

first of all the conflict in the middle east can not be helped with money,

because the root of the conflict IS money,

the main reason they want assad out is because he is not part of the global money scam IMF,

that´s why they went after gaddafi and took him out,

but they haven´t been able to do it with assad cause russia has a naval port in syria,

money isn´t going to help this deal,

just my two cents.

Ok, let me get this straight...and I'm not being a smartass, I am being serious and asking legit questions - In order to be a "good Christian", does one need to ignore the human need for self-preservation? Does Altruism, or what's good for someone else and theirs, trump what's good for you and yours every time?

Are Christians familiar with Taquiya and the Talmudic passages that state it is okay to lie to gentiles because they are not human? Does Christianity have any concepts that allow deceit for certain reasons or circumstances? Do Christians always believe that others are always honest with them, as they feel they are to others?
 Quoting: Little Red Hen

Christians aren't to be pacifist or put themselves in danger. Would I lie to avoid harm? Say for example if a muslim threatened to behead me if I didn't profess belief in their false prophet? Nope I would take the beheading and not lie.

There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that hurry to run to evil, a lying witness who testifies falsely, and one who sows discord in a family. (Proverbs 6:16–19)

Jesus does not approve of suicide. I have no doubt that Christians would be first in line to donate money to keep Syrians safe IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. There is no reason for them to be brought here or delivered to Europe. Why should we endanger our own children and their futures for a people who hate us?

OP, you should have used bravery and calmly steered the discussion. Your feelings are a side of the coin that, as Christians, the congregation should at least allow a hearing.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70197472

OP's not being a scumbag for not wanting to help Isis and their families. Most of the so called refugees are fake Syrians who are really Isis members and their families fleeing Russian bombings and assad's army. Notice this flood didn't start till Russia starting bombing the heck out of Isis. Isis are the ones that have murdered millions of Christians and plan on doing the same thing once they get here. There are no Syrian Christian refugees being allowed in despite the fact they are the ones being persecuted and murdered the most by Isis. Many of the refugees are fake Syrians using murdered Syrian's passports to come to the west and we have no way of knowing which ones are legit and which ones are not. Isis even had passport making machine so they can travel under false names. This is a nightmare in the making.

I think thats part of the problem. I think he is uneducated on the truth and being blinded by the church leaders desire for global outreach. We do a lot globally but have never supported anything like this.

You have to get up in front of the entire congregation, tell that man he is a lying agent of Satan, and then take your family - and your wallet - and WALK! Don't support ANYONE - church, politician, or business - who is going to SHIT ALL OVER YOU!! You need to put the interests of yourself, your family and your community FIRST because if you don't - no one else will.

Re: My Church Wants to Support "Refugee's"....I almost puked during the presentation.
I go to a mega church in my area and have been really, really happy there....until this morning.

XOXO

Just want to say one thing. You said *Jesus doesn't want us to welcome the enemy*.

Every refugee is not your *enemy*.
 Quoting: Sloane

Jesus doesn't want us to welcome the enemy and I agree not every refugee is an enemy however I haven't seen many Christian's or families come through. The Christians aren't being allowed in. I have no problem sending money to an agency in syria and keeping them there. It's hard to tell a wolf in sheep clothing. A young male of fighting age may come and he may or may not be ISIS. We don't know. Our vetting process sucks. Jesus wants us to help others and i'm happy to do that. We need discernment and wisdom to know who the enemy is. I'd rather have a parentless syrian child to support than a family that makes the wife wear a burka, is treated like a slave and believes in jihad. Determining the enemy isn't easy. My inner wisdom, call it intuition or the Holy Spirit is telling me "danger" run far away from this cause. It didn't sit right. He could only tell of one family they helped. The rest were 20 something single males.

And you've been giving money to that church week after week? LOL

Vote with your wallet and stop supporting traitorous churches.
 Quoting: Factual Error

When I was growing up, my parents didn't have much money, but gave money and volunteered their time to our Catholic church. I had to go to church every Sunday and attend Sunday school.

As a teenager, I was forced to work at the church bingo every Wednesday and Sunday. The church took in hundreds of thousands; each worker was paid $2.00. My dad drove an old used Chevy, and all three priests drove new Cadillacs. Women sitting in the first pew every Sunday were evil gossips. I do not go to church anymore. It seems as if it's all about the money basket.
 Quoting: nutmeg

I fell away from church for a long time because of similar reasons. I just went back this past year. One of the reasons i've loved my church so much is it's never been about the money. When they take offering they always say if you are a visitor pass the basket, don't contribute unless called too. I've always felt they were different but today was an eye opener. It really was upsetting.
